Great food, nice staff and its on a semi busy street perfect for people watching.
I had a ham and greyere on the onion and herb scone. so good.

just an idea, if anyone there is listening, consider offering affogatos (ice cream and espresso). it would be good with those gingerbread scones you have this month. :D

Love coming here before I start my work day! Staff are always so helpful and welcoming, they always remember my order when they see me! The lemon poppy seed is my favourite, always hits the spot. These past few weeks it’s been extra cheerful with the holiday atmosphere and cheerful staff. Can’t recommend this location enough, great way to support local.

I’ve never experienced worse customer service than I have at this cafe. They’re almost always “sold out” of half their menu and none of the girls who work there look like they care about serving customers. Several of them even make fun of customers in the back where they think they can’t be heard.

On a busy Sunday morning, no hot chocolate available and no cream for the scones (the staff were directing other customers to go across the road to Metro and buy some for themselves). The scones themselves were fresh but sickly sweet. The coffee isn’t great. We were disappointed by our experience here.

I had such a wonderful experience at Sconewitch! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. Yosef offered some fantastic recommendations, and everything he suggested was spot-on.

If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great food and friendly service, this is definitely the place to go. I highly recommend the Ham and Gruyère—it’s an absolute must-try! 😋🍽️

The food was great! It was well prepared and they warmed up my scones when I asked. I had some questions as it was my first time but the man seated behind the counter helped me with my questions in a patient manner. The reason for my poor review though is that I overheard two of the other employees, a tall thin woman and a shorter red headed woman mocking a disabled customer when Im guessing they thought they couldn't be heard. The gentleman they were mocking had down syndrome and they were laughing at the way he talked and moved. I even noticed that when he entered at the first, the tall girl got wide eyed and rushed into the back to speak to her coworker. It was shocking to witness.

Went and treated myself to an “egg witch” today and was pleasantly surprised with the service. The woman wearing a bandana was very helpful, and also prepared my sandwich! (Compliments to the chef!) The man with an accent who cashed me out was friendly, and upbeat! Honestly, the vibes of the staff (the ones I interacted with at least) made my morning! The only thing “lacking” was the flavours of the scone itself, flakey? Sure, but kind of underwhelming.

While the scones are alright, the fact that it wasn't even the afternoon on a weekday and half the flavours and the cream topping option were gone. I'm not sure why they wouldn't be making more for the rest of the day or stock enough for a day. This was my first visit and it left me disappointed.

Amazing scones and Jams

I always love my scones and sandwiches. What I don’t like is the service. Short, impatient, indifferent. No smile no pleasantries and to be honest I feel like a bother. Like I ruined their day by coming there. Even when you give the tip still no smile or thank you. Too bad. I’ll go elsewhere.

I don’t usually write complaints, but I felt compelled to share my experience at this SconeWitch location. While the scones themselves were undeniably delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly baked—the service left a lot to be desired. We arrived around 10:30 AM and were surprised to find that several core items were already sold out, including their signature cream and jam, as well as jasmine tea. It was frustrating to have such limited options so early in the day. On top of that, the staff at the counter seemed indifferent and passive. My family was visiting from New York, and as we took a few minutes to review the menu, the employee looked visibly annoyed with how long we were taking.
The biggest issue came with our takeout order. We purchased four scones—lemon, blueberry, cheddar, and oatmeal—but realized halfway down the block that one was missing. When we returned, the staff member took the cheddar scone from our bag and casually put it back on the tray to be sold again, which raised serious concerns about hygiene. That scone had already left the premises, and for it to be returned to general stock is simply unacceptable. Additionally, despite clearly explaining that we were still missing a scone, it took another few minutes before the situation was corrected. Needless to say this left us with a very sour impression of SconeWitch

Scones are great, staff is horrible. Jody is rude and rolled her eyes many times to me and others. Service needs improvement if they want to continue getting buisness.

Solid 3-star breakfast joint with 5-star potential, if only someone took the wheel. Right now, it's like a good playlist stuck on shuffle, decent variety, tasty options, but the staff feels like they’re winging it without a conductor.

With proper training and real management, this place could seriously level up. Until then, it’s breakfast with a side of chaos.
