While the scones are alright, the fact that it wasn't even the afternoon on a weekday and half the flavours and the cream topping option were gone. I'm not sure why they wouldn't be making more for the rest of the day or stock enough for a day. This was my first visit and it left me disappointed.

Amazing scones and Jams
I always love my scones and sandwiches. What I don’t like is the service. Short, impatient, indifferent. No smile no pleasantries and to be honest I feel like a bother. Like I ruined their day by coming there. Even when you give the tip still no smile or thank you. Too bad. I’ll go elsewhere.

I don’t usually write complaints, but I felt compelled to share my experience at this SconeWitch location. While the scones themselves were undeniably delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly baked—the service left a lot to be desired. We arrived around 10:30 AM and were surprised to find that several core items were already sold out, including their signature cream and jam, as well as jasmine tea. It was frustrating to have such limited options so early in the day. On top of that, the staff at the counter seemed indifferent and passive. My family was visiting from New York, and as we took a few minutes to review the menu, the employee looked visibly annoyed with how long we were taking.
The biggest issue came with our takeout order. We purchased four scones—lemon, blueberry, cheddar, and oatmeal—but realized halfway down the block that one was missing. When we returned, the staff member took the cheddar scone from our bag and casually put it back on the tray to be sold again, which raised serious concerns about hygiene. That scone had already left the premises, and for it to be returned to general stock is simply unacceptable. Additionally, despite clearly explaining that we were still missing a scone, it took another few minutes before the situation was corrected. Needless to say this left us with a very sour impression of SconeWitch

Scones are great, staff is horrible. Jody is rude and rolled her eyes many times to me and others. Service needs improvement if they want to continue getting buisness.

Solid 3-star breakfast joint with 5-star potential, if only someone took the wheel. Right now, it's like a good playlist stuck on shuffle, decent variety, tasty options, but the staff feels like they’re winging it without a conductor.
With proper training and real management, this place could seriously level up. Until then, it’s breakfast with a side of chaos.

I’m not a fan of scones, but the SconeWitch ones are absolutely delicious. Both sweet as well as the savory/ brunch combo ones. Scone of the month is always a nice refresher to their stable menu. Coffee is pretty solid too. What I don’t enjoy and sometimes ruins my otherwise great food experience is the staff, often grumpy and unpleasant.

Monday July 7th ~8:15am: Staff member was on their phone when I walked in. After I ordered, they proceeded to grab scones with their bare hands without washing after handling phone. This makes me concerned with training associated with food handling/safety.
Scones have decreased in quality.
Ordered an eggwich and a café au lait. The drink was bland, so I quietly asked for a pump of hazelnut syrup. Instead of handling it with basic hospitality, staff made me go back and pay 80 cents.
It left me feeling awkward and uncomfortable — like I was out of line for asking.
Management should really train staff not to nickel-and-dime customers over tiny requests, especially after already paying for breakfast and a drink. A small gesture could’ve gone a long way.

My husbands’s smoked salmon brunch menu was pretty underwhelming as per the photo. The feta cheese pesto sandwich I had was fine. The service could improve…
I adore Sconewitch but I don’t think this location does it justice. If this is your first time please try westboro location!! They are amazing. The staff there is super friendly and the quality never disappoints

Not a bad scone, but you need to bolster yourself before dealing with their rude front line guy running the cash.
It's moderately worth it to get through him to get to the food.

The scones have shrunk to a tiny size. Over $3 for something barely 2 inch wide, dry and tasteless . Hot drinks are made from a machine with one button press so clearly bulk processed powdered ingredients, not fresh. Went with a friend who said they used to go there and would now never go back since it has degraded so much.
Atmosphere is pretty dead, unkempt and staff were fairly indifferent.
You can get a better scone twice the size, better coffee, atmosphere and service for the same money elsewhere.

Scones are excellent; however, this time, my review is for excellent customer service. I had called to inquire which location would be the closest for me on my return to Quebec. Hannah, the young lady to whom I had spoken, was not certain and could not say. Not long after that, my phone rang. It was Hannah calling back to say that she had discussed my call with her manager, who told her the right location for me to go to. I was so impressed and thankful that she went above and beyond to respond to a customer, someone whom she hadn't even seen or met in person. Thank you, Hannah.
