The food at scone which is top notch. The scones are delish (both sweet and savoury). I got a bacon and cheddar melt on a herb and onion scone. It was meant to come with side fruit and salad. Instead it came with orange slices, some lettuce, and apple covered in salad dressing. It was neither side salad nor side fruit but a confusing blend of the two. The location was so busy and desperately understaffed which led to some items in my order being forgotten. I wasn’t starving...
Staying by the Parliament building. I asked concierge where is the best scones and he recommended The SconeWitch. Did not disappoint. We had 2 chive and onion scone and 2 cheddar The scones did not disappoint. Flavorful and flaky. Coffee was strong full flavored. They were short staff that day so understandably slow. Highly recommended and will come back if I'm visiting Ottawa again.
