Went with the family for a bday dinner. Limited menu. Had the beef dip with a side of poutine. Meh. The curds weren’t melted on the fries and the gravy was a gelatinous mass of goo. Unfortunately the same gravy was used in place of an au jus dip for the beef sandwich. Too thick, and only tasted of salt. Like canned gravy. Table mates had a variety of burgers and wraps, none were raving about their food. Great place for beers and the game, but disappointed in the food.

One of the best sports bars in Ottawa. I had the buffalo wrap the other day and it was awesome.

An experience that was ho-hum enough to prompt a review. The restaurant is beautiful and clean to look at and if sports is your reason, then go there. Lots of TVs. Food selection was quite limited. Other than fish and chips, the pescatarian in our group had no main dish choice so we opted for appys. Disappointingly, there was not enough cheese on the nachos and I would have preferred more toppings which were fresh. So after the top few were gone, we had a plate of chips. Other foods ordered were okay and that is as favourable as I can be. When it came time to pay, I don't think the server was going to give me a bill (only a total) until I asked for a copy. Bottom line, it was generally disappointing except for the company. I am unlikely to return.

We went for Father's Day. It was quiet but our waitress was amazing. Super friendly and attentive. Food was good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Our waitress even gave the Father's some promotional T-shirts and drink cozies. Very nice of her. Bonus parking lot as it is very hard to find street parking in the Glebe.

We made a dinner reservation to watch NHL playoffs. When we got there, the server brought us to a tiny strip of wood that served as a “table”. All four seats were arranged on the same side and faced directly at a window and onto the other patrons sitting on the patio. We were inches from the glass and staring directly at them… I asked the server if there was any chance we could be moved anywhere else as we had wanted to watch the game. He lifted his arms and turned in a circle to express that there were tv’s everywhere. There was in fact a large tv near the table but it was fully corkskewed to the right. Instead of sitting side by side (which is already awkward for a table of 4) we would have had to sit in a line— one behind the other. Super weird experience and the staff was not understanding that the table shouldn’t be considered a table for dining due to its width of 8 inches. I think the patio guests were happy when we left as we got a few weird glances when we sat down. If you make a reservation, make sure you request not to sit at that table. Too bad because this building has been a bad luck charm to so many other businesses… doesn’t seem like this one is off to a good start.
Good energy on NYE, cheap.
If you are looking for great Sunday game-watching ambiance, look no further. This place is the perfect spot. Jordan, the bartender and our server was amazing, kind, friendly and knowledgeable. They had a large selection of drinks from local craft beers to domestic favourites, and even some cool non-alcoholic cocktails for those who want to join in without drinking. Food was delicious, drinks were great and they had every game playing on the TVs.
