They charge you and pour out the beer when you left for a cigarette. Very shady business avoid at all cost
It's fine.
We stopped by while walking the streets of Downtown Ottawa and didn't want to leave! Thank goodness we had other plans otherwise we'd have stuck around for far too long, lol!! Great quint spot serving fabulous, ice cold Kilkenny!! (Heart & Crown Irish Pub)
Cozy atmosphere. Veggie burger is very good.
Had an amazing afternoon stop at the snug.. beautiful sunny patio and one of the best Caesar’s I’ve had.. I came back here after a couple of years just for it.. listened to the recommendation from bartender/waiter Jim to try the fish and chips to split with my husband.. soo good.. light fluffy and an entire filet as a portion.. this is a must do stop

Classic pub feel with a friendly atmosphere and yummy house made food! I find a lot of Ottawa pubs, you’re stuck with the food being bland or from a box. I had the stew here and it was so good. I will be coming back!

Raw chicken! I’ve been going to heart and crown for over 15 years. They generally have good fish and chips and chowder, but it’s been a while. Today we ordered some wings as a snack. The wings were raw, still pink…..Thanks for the salmonella poisoning!
I'm not rating the service because one is not goodBut love the

The fish and chip is absolutely divine. The batter is light and very flavorful and the fish is perfectly cooked. It melts in your mouth.
I don't remember :)
We arrived at the Heart and Crown, August 1st, for a late afternoon drink and appy. We sat in the courtyard outdoors. It was a lovely spot. That was about the only lovely thing about this place! We ordered the deep fried pickles. They were good. The problem was that we got the appy, ate the appy and still did not have our drinks (that we ordered first). While we were waiting for our drinks, the waitress was cleaning off the table beside us (apparently instead of getting our drinks) and dropped dirty utensils on my lap! I was full of tomato sauce from someones fork! Instead of getting me something to help me clean up, she continues cleaning up at the other table. Thank goodness the table behind us had extra napkins that I could use... My husband ordered a Long Island Ice Tea and she serves him a can and a glass (no ice) . This is like the canned Long Island Ice Tea that you buy at the liquor store for $2 and something... and they were asking $9 for it. My husband sent it back. After all this, we just wanted to leave! I was playing with my credit card at the table. Clear signal that we wanted the bill, but we waited forever for that too! The bathrooms were old and dirty. Trust me, don't go there! We really DO NOT recommend!
This was the worst service I experienced in probably over 20 years. Came for a drink before a dinner reservation and it took them 15 minutes to even acknowledge we were sitting here. Another ten to order a drink and twenty to get them. Almost an hour!!! Terrible service and definitely a No Return - Don’t Come Here place.
Nice beer and warm welcome last night. We came back the next day from very far just because we had a nice time on the eve and we were asked to pay an entrance fee the next day. Weird… I don’t think it’s worth, especially when all bars around have free entrance
