ordered the beef dip and schnitzel. beef was super dry and bland, the "au Jus" was an acrid, chemical tasting inedible gravy. Schnitzel was so tough and hard, we got a jaw cramp trying to chew it, fries were stone cold on arrival from the kitchen. Old house and decor was interesting, looks like it was a beautiful old house at some point. Beer prices were fair though. Might come back for a drink at some point, will never eat there again though.

Its definitely more a pub then a restaurant. Food was just ok. ( calamari terreible) The dining layout was very poor we were seated half under the lip of the bar, no dining music bright lights . The whole place could use a deep clean the bar had a-layer of dust it always makes wonder what the kitchen looks like. At 5 to 9 we were told we had 5 minutes to vacate in a louder voice. Lol made me feel like we were bar hoping.

Delicious food! I always get the Sweet and Spicy Korean Fried Chicken and it never disappoints! It's absolutely delicious and if your looking for Jambalaya, come here! It's genuinely the only spot that does it right!

We ordered their lunch special (Reuben sandwich) and their Jambalaya. Asked for extra hot and got extra hot - they don't play around with their heat! The only thing I was not a big fan of was the frozen Asian and mixed veggies in the jambalaya (veggies were a bit too soft and made it taste more like an Asian stir fry than a jamabalaya) but the portion of meats in this dish was very generous! Want to come back to try the Korean dishes, espcially the bibimbap!

Located in a beautiful old house surrounded by old trees. This place has much potential but the experience was very average. The road up for parking (around the back) was not well marked, and it was an inclined dirt road with large areas recessed from water running during previous rainfall. The front door is VERY uninviting - it looks like a white solid door you would find as a house access via garage. We wondered if we were entering a back entrance.
When we went in, there were 3 people seated, and the rest of the place was empty. Really empty. Not a server or waiter- no one behind the bar. We stood for 5 minutes wondering if anyone was going to come see us? Or maybe the restaurant was closed and the people seated were management or something?
Eventually, a server came out and seemed surprised to see us. He told us to grab a table. I believe he worked the bar as well- maybe the kitchen? He had an apron on that was really dirty.
The menu looked alright, if pricey. The iced tea I ordered cane with a paper straw. (EVERYONE hates paper straws). The server was polite and friendly and food came out quickly and was hot! ?
The food was okay. The spring rolls tasted like ones that I could get from the grocery store and just deepfried. Good, but not something special I would go to a restaurant for.
The bathroom entrance door has paint all worn off from it, and when you go through that door, you're immediately in the "back" of the restaurant- kitchen door open with a cook like 2 feet away watching me go into the bathroom door. So that was awkward.
The bathroom is TINY but clean.
Overall, it was okay. The character of the place is a bit lost - a hunting vest hung on the wall- on a hanger, on top of ornate wallpaper- next to abstract paintings- the decor didn't quite make sense.
I think with a few renovations, to add charm and character back into this beautiful spot, and a bit of an updated fresher menu, it could really become a gem!

I know The Swan is no secret to those in the village, and I see it's no secret to people all over the region! What a wonderful atmosphere and the most delicious food for miles around! No comparisons. This place feels like you've discovered a secret gem and you will be back for any and every occasion!

Despite a nice interior, this was a disappointing experience. Caesar salad was watery and not flavourful at all. The calamari was ok, but was the heavy breaded kind. Chicken wrap was also tasteless. Asked for soda water, which never came. The wait staff didn't come to check on food quality, which didn't allow us to mention the salad was sub-par until they brought the bill. Just paid to get out of there. Do not recommend.
