The Works Craft Burgers & Beer

Waited over an hour for lunch.
Burgers arrived room temperature. One (veggie burger) even seemed cold. During the hour we never once had someone come check for drinks etc. And it was not even busy at all. Really too bad, other locations are way better. Waldork salad was good tasting. That's the picture.

The place was not busy yet I waited for over an hour for the food to arrive. When it finally came, I got the wrong side dish. It took another 15 minutes to get the right one. I was so hungry by the time I got my food that it wasn't very enjoyable. Sadly this is not the first time I've had this type of experience at this place.
Update- True to form, they replied to this review over a year later. Doing that doesn't exactly inspire confidence in their ability to provide faster service.
2nd Update- It's been 3 years since I was there and I decided to give it another try. Nadine, the waitress/hostess was fantastic. The service was extremely friendly and faster than I'd ever had here. Even though they didn't have the drink I was hoping for (cherry Coke), the waitress was very creative at improvising something that was just as good or better. Even when Nadine wasn't around the other waitress would make sure I was doing well. I'm definitely increasing my rating a couple of stars because of these 2 employees that were there that night.Hopefully the rest of the staff have gotten their act together as well as these girls. I'd be thrilled if so.

Had an excellent burger at this location. I got the 3 ring binder. It is a very good option, but I get extra chipotle mayo added because it can be a bit dry without extra sauce. The Caesar salad was delicious and a decent size. The atmosphere was alright. The restaurant was a little cold when we first sat down, but the heat came on and it was a bit better. I recommend sitting not too close to the door just to be a bit more comfortable temperature wise.

These are the most unique and best burgers I've ever had. Their onion rings are sooo good!!

Parking: If you are there for dinner, parking is horrible. But then again, in Ottawa parking is a problem everywhere.

Food is great. Service is pretty good at times. Summertime is awesome with the big windows open. I find it can get a little overcrowded and busy at times. That's because they got great food. Usually a few underage kids from the neighborhood drinking a bit too much but they're usually the type that just get sick and go home. They don't cause trouble. Its good for families. Good for dates. My great grandpa use to go there with his gf they were like 90 years old. And they loved it. So it really is for everybody

Food is good, The location could do with a bit of an update. A little pricey for what you get.

We had the pleasure of eating at the Works, and must say, an excellent variety of burgers, well cooked and large portions, our only negative is that some of our party are on restricted food portions and the Works has a policy of not servicing smaller portions (Kids Menus) to people over 11. In this day and age of cautious food awareness, I think restricting adults to larger portions is a bit outdated. Other than that, I highly recommend all the food here especially the onion ring tower! and W Burger. Excellent job The Works!
