Everything is perfect , I just wish that the male server does not jump in the middle when Maggie bring the menue and was supposed to serve ; we are really tired to see the face of Alexandro . This guy is really a person who impose himself into costumer at the expanses of his co workers ; Without him the experience is more enjoyable . Hopefully the Administration will consider this issue .
The most important point to note about this establishment is that it is very overpriced.
The spaghetti Bolognese with meatball was delicious and we ate everything right down to the last noodle. Still quite overpriced but not as bad as the other items we ordered.
The bruschetta was tasty and satisfying but definitely not worth the price.
The worst part of this meal and the most insultingly overpriced item was the ceaser salad. This was probably the most basic ceaser salad I've ever had. I think Loblaws even sells a better one for less. I wish I had taken a picture... Essentially there were a small handful of plain/cheap croutons, no parmesan (or any cheese) and not even enough dressing to cover the romaine lettuce. Which also happened to taste more like plain mayo than ceaser dressing. I would say this salad was worth maybe $5.00-$7.00 rather than the $19.00 plus tax they were selling it for. At that price I was certain I would be getting the scrumptious ceaser I was craving but sadly I got a dud.
The BEST Italian food in Ottawa. We've been coming here for a few years. Went to Tuscany last fall, and the food at this restaurant was as good, if not better. It's consistent, has a real Italian feel and the food is so good
The service, food, and drinks were great! The only problem was parking I had to look for 15 minutes and park two blocks away.
A must visit , great food, good atmosphere ?, good choice of wines

We had approximately 40 people travelling from out of town for our wedding so we hosted a "welcome dinner" the night before our wedding at Trattoria Caffe Italia. We dealt with Maggie in coordinating this dinner and she was amazing to deal with. She was willing to work with our menu and drink needs and was always quick to answer. On the evening of the dinner, guests were amazed at how great the food was and how big the portions were. We were also surprised at how the restaurant had gone out of its way to decorate their chalk boards with congratulatory messages for us and even printed custom menus indicating our names and the event. They were little things but something that felt so special the night before the big day. If you're looking for a place to host your welcome dinner or rehearsal dinner that’s in a central location, near lots of free and paid parking, reach out to them!

Started off with the owner, or whoever was dealing with the reservations, not believing we had one, even though we saw our dad's name in the reservation book. We said his name before the man even opened the book, and he still did not believe us, only believing us when our dad came in and said the name. They also didn't tell my sister where our table was and told her to call us. We had a reservation for 6:30 and received our food finally at 9. Our server was very kind, but we were told multiple times that our food was going to be ready soon. They said that they were going to do other tables before us, and this was around 8 o'clock. We saw other people sit down after us and receive their food way before we did. We are unsure why they continued to forget about us. The worse part is we went for my brother's birthday and this was the service that was given to us.

Overall the food was great and the service was perfect. The only issue would be the shrimp was over sauced.
