Great bread but terrible service I was at the west borough market on a pouring I mean pouring Saturday morning. There was 3 employees so they were not short staffed. I would understand on a sunny day that they would not open until 9:00 am. But they had me wait 5 min did I say it was pouring because it wasn’t 9:00am they still wouldn’t open. Too bad for the service!!!!!!

Excellent bakery! Their decadent bun was one of the best buns I’ve ever had. After just one bite, I had to go back for two more. Definitely a must-try!
Excellent bakery. Great bread and I m french so fair judge. The épi is excellent. The baguette is traditional. The other bread arw interesting. The broche is good and the coconut cookie is appreciated. Key thing is to me the épi.
Price ok. No croissant no chocolatine.
The supply get empty on Saturday pretty quickly so i enjoy going there between 7 and 8am.
Very nice service but the customer part is very small. Most of the place is to make bread and i m 100% behind it. Few parking spots
For many years, True Loaf has been the best bakery in the city. Their original decadent bun was one of the best buns I’ve ever had. The original coco chilli bun was so good we would bring it as a gift to friends. Sadly the quality of all their breads has degraded substantially. Gone are the crispy exteriors with perfect chew, I don’t know what has changed but the products have all changed for the worse and they are quickly becoming just another bakery. The prices have also been increasing regularly, which would be fine if the quality wasn’t going in the other direction. My visit last week is probably my last.
When I was in my 2nd year of undergraduate studies, I would come here early in the morning for a baguette and have it as a breakfast before my first class once a week. I still like to drop by for bread and cookies and chocolate chip brioches. Wonderful place with delicious breads and great service. I wish they were open a little longer but I also get that its a bakery and they tend to have different hours. Overall, a lovely spot.
Hands down, not even close, best European bread in Ottawa.
We love the baguettes, mini olives, and epi !!!
Amazing bread and hot cross buns, and lovely staff! Prices are very fair for the size and quality of the breads as well. Go support local folks!
Try the baguette! It's a 6 star!

Delicious bread and baked goods with friendly service. I have yet to have anything from this place that didn’t seem to be the best I’ve ever had (in Ottawa, at least).

I love their amazing bread! I got three loafs to share today! I got a Rye , Olive and Rosemay and Date and Fennel loaf!
Highly recommended and I love that all the ingredients are listed at the front and the ingredients are real food.

I bought two brioches today, and both had an excessively dark, burnt crust. The taste was unpleasant and bitter. It's unacceptable that such clearly burnt items are sold to customers. So disappointed
