Third time visiting Union Local 613. Overall great experience.
FOOD: The Shrimp & Grits ($32) was fantastic and delicious, and is also very well-priced for the quantity. I would definitely have it again. I previously had their famous Union Fried Chicken ($29) which I really enjoyed.
DRINKS: The Smore Plz ($20) was great.
SERVICE: Our server was friendly and very attentive (e.g., was extremely diligent in filling our water even after we stopped ordering).
AMBIENCE: The restaurant is nice on a regular day but the christmas decor is especially pretty and festive.
NOTE: They do not accept Amex which is understandable but a big sore spot for me.

LOVE their speakeasy in the basement. The vibes are amazing, and the drinks are even better. I requested something seasonal and got a warm apple cider with apple pie flavours. It was AMAZING, and drinks come pretty fast. Their bartender has great creativity and a high level of skill. Cocktails are $15-22 from what I’ve observed, and definitely worth going for.

I went here tonight for my birthday, and it was truly an amazing experience. Our server was incredibly knowledgeablesharing fun and interesting facts about every dish we ordered and they were genuinely kind and attentive the entire evening. The food was absolutely outstanding; every plate was full of flavor and beautifully presented. I couldn’t have asked for a better celebration. Highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We celebrated our daughter’s 20th birthday at Union Local 613, and she absolutely loved it and so did we! The atmosphere was warm and vibrant, and the food was delicious from appetizers to dessert. Our server, Jamil, truly made the evening special, friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the menu, suggested fantastic drinks and the grits (which were amazing!), and made us feel genuinely welcome. It was a perfect evening all around, and we’ll definitely be back!

Four of us went there for dinner to celebrate my birthday. The food was fabulous. The service was great and friendly. They comped us dessert that all 4 of us could share and it was to die for. Love this place.
OCT 2025 - I originally rank this a 5 around 6 years ago and I downgraded it to a 3 from a recent experience. I came for an early drink and meal last year and it was good. I tried a couple of times earlier this year and they were closed for private events.
Just before 9pm on a Wednesday night I stopped here after an event wanting to do a takeout. If I found something good I was willing to stay and have a nice bite and a drink.or two.
The place was so dark I guess to give it a lounge feel. There were maybe 4 other tables but they were wrapping up. It was so poorly lit thar I can't even read the menu. I complained about the lack of lighting ad the bartender brought a lamp from a table.
I like the idea of the confit rib and considered dining in. But if I am paying $40 for a main course, I kind of want to see my food so I can enjoy it with my eyes as well as my taste buds. The poor lighting was not what I was looking for for a nice dining experience so decided to do takeout of a few appetizers and maybe go somewhere else for dinner or go home.
Take out did not have cutlery or napkins. I wanted something to nibble on so started with the pulled pork egg roll. It is not something you eat with your hands without napkins while wearing a nice leather jacket. I ended up getting some dripping on my shirt and pants so went home so I can clean up my clothes and make sure it did not dirty my favorite leather jacket.
Not a great experience.. if you want to be a club or cool place only then I will take it out of my restaurants lists. Admitted I was getting a little boring and go to same handful of restaurants with both great food by a good chef plus excellent service. This visit did not do it for me and I spent months in Atlanta on project and spent some time in New Orleans, Texas and New York (but not in 2025)

I had celebrated my birthday here with friends and the staff were so kind and accommodating. Everyone was just so warm and welcoming, as well as very knowledgeable about the food and drink menus. We hosted our wedding brunch at Union613, and it was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious- every dish full of flavour and southern comfort and the service was outstanding from start to finish. The team made the morning feel warm, easy, and celebratory, creating such a welcoming atmosphere for us and our guests. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate the start of our marriage.
