Food took well over an hour, was cold when it came. My friend's chicken was raw in the middle. Servers were complaining about each other. Horrible experience.

Von's is a wonderful restaurant. The environment is quite welcoming. You are guaranteed comfortable seating, large windows allowing natural sunlight in to brighten up the space, beautiful and unique art pieces on their walls, delicious food options which includes some vegetarian options, dessert and the staff are lovely, too!
Von's is the perfect location for a couple of friends to gather for a bite to eat, business meetings for 2 to 4 people, dinning alone, lunch date with your partner and or kid(s).
Oh, did I mention how delicious their dessert options were? I highly recommend you end your visit with obe of Von's dessert choices. All choices are worth it!

Great restaurant in The Glebe neighbourhood of Ottawa. I hadn't been back to Von's in years and I was super pleasantly surprised it was just as good as I remembered it. Went with a close friend and it was cozy and inviting, with a soft music level (didn't overwhelm). We enjoyed our food -the mushroom ravioli and chicken parmesan- flavourful and well priced. The server was attentive but not too 'in your face.' We appreciated how he waited until we both had finished our meals before he took away the dishes and silverware -- most restaurants remove the dish right away, leaving the person still eating feeling rushed - very tacky. I'd recommend Von's Bistro and i'll definitely be happy to go back on my next trip to Ottawa!

Excellent service. I ordered the steak and fries and a Caesar. The food was mediocre for a relatively expensive dish, and the drink was lowkey unbearable. Overall nice atmosphere but needs to switch up the quality of the food.
Went for brunch with my friends, two of us had the waffles...they were very large, dry, bland, and the compote was definitely not enough, nor the fake syrup. They should at least add a dollop of whipped cream! My other two friends liked their brunch well enough, but not something to write home about.

Nicoise salad was quite good, even if perhaps the tuna might have been a little overcooked.
