Overpriced Sysco food, cocktail prices as high as a 5 star restaurant, cluttered interior, nasty kitchen with dirty dishes on food prep area.
My son and his wife were happy to invite my husband and I here as they had really liked the place the two times they had been here. We ordered one berry smoothie, 1 regular 2 cream 2 sugar, 1 regular 2 cream and 1 cappuccino, the smoothie was ok, we received tha cappuccino that looked anything but a cappuccino, the 2 cream took 25 minutes and was cold and the double double we had to ask for it 3 times, took half and hour to receive. The ambiance is great but service was a big zero. Very disappointed. About a half hour after I posted the review the owner comes to greet us. He asked us what was the matter with the service, we each unfortunately had something negative to say. To our surprise, he kept giving us excuses and even had the AUDACITY to had that and I quote "poor customer service is a major problem in this country!!!!"
He did not step up to say I'm so disappointed and sorry that you had a very poor experience, I will talk to my staff and see where the help is required. He was making me very upset so he finally asked me what could he do to rectify the situation, I told him I wanted a full refund. We were coldly denied.
Mr owner, you need to rethink your priorities and maybe take a course on people skills! I wish you and everyone who works for you and visits your establishment good luck.

We ordered two drinks and one bagel with cream cheese. The waitstaff continually came over with drinks we had not ordered and when we finally got our drink orders one of them was cold, despite ordering it hot. When asked if we could have it hot, they clearly had just microwaved the cup to reheat it. It took them another 10-15 minutes to bring out the bagel and cream cheese, which was barely spread over the bagel. Despite taking a long time to arrive, and giving us the wrong drink order several times, they never apologized. The place is a very cute atmosphere but the service was quite bad and we will not be returning.

Found this coffee shop by accident on Google. What a big surprise, beyond my imagination. Because I'm looking for a breakfast restaurant. As a result, I was attracted by the food pictures in the store. I ordered this breakfast and I don’t know what style it is, but I like it very much. The breakfast is rich, varied, nutritious and delicious. Grapes, almonds, fruit tomatoes, cheese, bacon, olives, crackers and jams. And quail eggs. Includes a cup of coffee. And mini ice cream cakes. It's so cute.

The fine pastery and the viennoiserie were industrial. It was deceiving for me.
The salty menu was perfect with some changes. I will try it again before I rate it differently.
The customer service was professionnel and they were so nice and welcoming.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff
Service wasn't great -- servers didn't seem bothered that our reservation wasn't received even though we used the link from the website. Server was also rude and appeared disinterested in serving us. Not impressed with the staff at all. The atmosphere is super cute/cosy and we probably just went on a bad night.

I can not conceivably give this place more than a one star. Easily one of if not the most overpriced cafes in the city. You would expect charging $11 for a "Golden Oasis Latte" that the coffee would be decent, but it was the complete opposite. The coffee was burnt and only was saved by the milk. The hot chocolate was mediocre given the price tag. Despite dining in, we were provided to-go paper cups instead of ceramic cups, which I find ridiculous given the price tag. Also the staff were not very welcoming. It is a shame since the interior of the cafe is nice in a great location on Elgin street, but this place fails in the most important aspect of a cafe: the coffee.

Scrambled eggs were microwaved from frozen as were tots. Eggs were salted too much to eat. Toast was stale. Coffee was not drinkable. Staff were not welcoming

This is a cute place to do homework or something, but I really wouldn't head here for the food or drinks. My friend paid over 5 dollars for a can of coke (!!) The pide was reheated and felt like I was eating leftovers.

How this place has a rating above 1 is beyond me. Cute place, but food and COFFEE (you know, for a coffee shop?) is absolute trash. I mean, my Americano looked and tasted like dirty dishwater…and the staff absolutely did not care. Will NEVER return so don’t bother with any canned platitudes. Read the negative reviews people…they are telling the true story of this disappointment.

The elgin breakfast described in the menu doesn’t remotely taste or look like what you think you’ll be ordering. Microwaved taters were horrible, the « organic greens » consist of iceberg lettuce questionable tomatoes and cucumber. The sour dough bread was not sour dough bread. It was toasted white bread. The knackwurst was the only decent thing.

I love their latte menu, specially lotus and Oreo latte. They have some games there that you can play, but mostly the atmosphere is very enjoyable and relaxing.
