Great food, excellent staff and a comfortable cosy place to meet up with your friends.

Fine as a coffee shop. The restaurant is overpriced. Portions are ok but the quality is to be desired. Little depth of flavour (meals mostly tasted like salt). The hen was dry and overdone.

Overpriced for very low quality and poor service. The bar feels neglected because events are their priority. Not worth it!

Very unique resturant. There is also a little cafe. Cairisti served me and was lovely and kind.

Just finished eating their freshly baked croissant, it was absolutely perfect! All the pastries are fresh and I’m already coming back for the second one!

My son and I came to Working Title for brunch this morning. The food was excellent, and the service was phenomenal! Our hostess was Marie, who was so sweet and nice and our server was Mikiah, who was exceptional and so very accommodating!

We had coffee and pastries while we waited for a meeting to happen. Both delicious and the vibe is really nice.

A hidden gem beneath a historic church!

Tucked away in the crypt of a historic stone church, Working Title (hopefully just a temporary name!) is a truly unique and charming café. From the moment you step through the stone-arched entrance, you’re greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked bread — a sign of the delicious experience to come.

Inside, the decor is cozy, stylish, and full of character, perfectly complementing the historic setting. The brunch menu offers a variety of tempting options, all of which are fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service is friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from start to finish.

What really sets Working Title apart is the atmosphere. Dining in a former church creates an unforgettable experience, combining history, charm, and great food in one spot. Whether you’re stopping by for brunch, coffee, or just to soak in the ambiance, it’s well worth a visit.

Tucked away under a historic stone church, Working Title (hopefully just a temporary name!) is one of Ottawa’s most charming and unexpected finds. The moment you step through the stone-arched entrance, you’re greeted by the warm, comforting aroma of freshly baked bread — a hint of the delicious experience to come.

The setting is truly special: the café is built right into the crypt of a century-old church, giving it a unique blend of history and coziness. Inside, the decor is inviting and stylish, with a mix of rustic textures and modern touches that make the space feel both intimate and full of character.

Really gorgeous and unique venue! Felt very cozy. In addition to indoor seating, They have a bakery and coffee bar plus take home items.
I got their croissant French toast which tasted delicious was wasn’t very filling. Which coming in at over $20 was disappointment. That’s a bit too much to feel like I had a snack.

Food was disappointing. Two of us had the pork tournedos. The meat was tough and dry; the chimichurri made it tolerable. We complained and it was comped without hesitation. Had the chocolate bundt cake. Again was tough to cut and dry. A fork would have worked better than spoon. Service was friendly, noise was acceptable. Overall impression: won’t be back.

Delicious baked goods. Nice atmosphere. Not young family-friendly. Oblivious servers.
Our experience:
We have come for a quick coffee and baked good but today decided to have lunch. I came with my two young kids (3 yrs and 2 yrs). I asked about the burger sliders on the kids menu - it’s two burgers, drink, and lemonade. Great. I’ll get one for the kids. They only do sit-down. We are seated, the kids have some of the brownie while we wait for the sliders. 10 minutes go by then the server who has been behind the bar the whole time says to me, “I’ll be right with you.”

I say to her, “Oh, you haven’t put in the sliders?” She says no, but she can put it in right now. I told her to not worry about it since it’ll take too long. I pay for the brownie and say to the cashier, “I thought it was obvious we were staying for lunch.” She doesn’t say anything and walks away…
Left a bad taste in my mouth.
