Yolks is a newer brunch spot in Ottawa. It took about 20 minutes for us to get a table here, but the wait was well worth it. The service was very nice and friendly. The food was actually quite good and reasonably filling, especially with the Nutella hot chocolate I ordered. It wasn’t very loud, so you could have conversations while you ate. Overall, I’d say this was a good experience. I would definitely come back here and I recommend this place to anyone looking for a solid brunch spot.
Just a note, the servers wear shirts that say “perfectly poached eggs” and I can say my eggs were perfect in that regard.

First experience here today, why did it take me so long?! The service, the food everything was perfect. A special thank you to the manager for brining a sweet treat for my birthday although it was a while back, just by observing that my friend had a gift for me - that’s amazing service.

Great breakfast this morning at yolks! Emma took great care of us and the food was delicious! Two bennys, one made into a bowl and we each had a latte with cute latte art. Chatted with the manager on our way out who was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Will be back 😁

The food was pretty good! Howver it was nothing incredible that would be worth a 40 min wait. The server seated 2 couples before us when we were before them on the waitlist. The chicken was a bit too greasy.

Had the pleasure of trying Yolks on Sunday for bunch and wow, I was impressed. Got there around 11am, and waited 30mins for a table. For a Sunday brunch I think that's a perfectly acceptable wait. Especially since the dinning room isn't that large.
Ordered two make it yourself Yolks Breakfast and a couple Beignets. And truly I couldnt be more impressed. Everything was incredibly fresh, hot and yummy. All came out relatively quick too.
Definitely a must try in the Glebe.
