Ordered the classic rice noodles for dinner. Very interesting experience where you’re served a boiling bowl of soup and you have to cook a bunch of ingredients on your own.

Soup and ingredients were very fresh and tasty. You also get to refill your rice noodles if needed. I had one refill and it was very filling.

Highly recommend for Chinese food in this area.

I have visited this restaurant three times because it's one of the few places in Ottawa that serves rice noodles. Even though my first experience with their service was bad, I still gave it a second and third chance. But I have to say, I will never return after my last visit.

They charge extra for cilantro, green onions, and pepper oil, which I found frustrating but still paid for each time. During this last visit, I again ordered cilantro and pepper oil. The pepper oil portion was tiny, costing $0.75 before tax, almost a dollar after tax. However, this time, I noticed the portion seemed smaller than before, so I asked the waiter why it was less than what I had received on previous visits. The waiter claimed that the portion size had always been the same, but offered to give me more. I agreed and thanked him.

After about five minutes, the server brought me a full plate of pepper oil. I thanked him, but he didn’t leave. Then, to my surprise, he said that the initial portion was the normal size, but since he gave me double the amount this time, he would have to charge me for two servings! I was totally shocked!! This was the first time I had experienced something like this at a noodle house . I believe the owner or staff really don’t understand how to run a business – they tried to charge me $2 for a simple pepper oil!

I told the waiter I didn’t want it anymore, and he immediately took the plate back. He took the oil back to the kitchen and returned with half a portion of the pepper oil! I was speechless!!!
If you really wanted to charge me for two portions, why not just bring me one more plates of pepper oil? And after I declined, why would you take something already served to a customer and put it back into the kitchen to be reused? Is this your food safety regulation?

After this incident, I told my friends I would never return to this restaurant. Let me tell you about another noodle house I often visit in downtown Ottawa. The owner knows I like pepper oil and garlic. Every time I walk in, she immediately has a plate of peeled garlic and pepper oil brought to me, all without extra charges, even before I place my order. I’ve been to that noodle house more than 40 times in a year, and they know how to do business right.

It's not that I can’t afford to pay for an extra serving of pepper oil, but your approach to business has truly disappointed me.

This is one of my favourite restaurants! Prices are good and there are unlimited noodles with the Crossing the Bridge soups, I love the spicy one as well as the new green peppercorn one! They often have new and exciting things on the menu. Service is fast and great. Love the decor of the place, and the food is always delicious!

I went to this place when they had a special for the restaurant's anniversary. There was a long line to get in because certain dishes were on special. There wasn't enough staff so service was a bit slow. But the servers were very polite and made sure to let everyone know the food would take some time. The restaurant itself was warm because everyone was ordering hot noodle soup and the AC couldn't keep up. The food was a bit disappointing. I got the Yang's chicken rice but I couldn't taste any chicken. It was mostly spicy slightly burnt taste. The noodle soup was pretty good and they offer unlimited noodle refills so I would recommend getting the soup instead. The seaweed salad and ox tongue in chili oil were delicious and highly recommend.

We ordered beef brisket noodles, lot of beef! Even my BF said there is a lot of meat. I ordered Bridge noodles, forgot to take the photo. It’s pretty good as well. And you can refill rice noodles unlimited. The only thing is the soup is a bit salty.

We both loved the desert, brown sugar rice cake!

Delicious soup, I don't remember the name. Of course, I didn't eat it properly, because it was my first experience of tasting something like this, but I liked it. I will definitely visit again when I'm in Ottawa.

If every restaurant in Wo Village rolls up to this standard, I don’t know how lively and cheerful I will be.
