unfortunatly this used to be a great place for fish but after ownership change its not so much anymore, ordered for pick up, waited 20 minutes past the time we ordered it for, got home to soggy undercooked fish, dried out fries and the taste of old fryer oil. certainly do not recommend anymore.

We had two of the haddock dinners. Excellent! Fish was nicely cooked. Fries were decent.
And the coslaw was really tasty.
The fish wasn’t dripping in oil and the batter was crisp. Excellent quality of fish used. !!!!!
Definitely will be back another time ! It was very enjoyable.
We used skip the dish.
My only peeve about here is they do not seal the bag for delivery service. So anyone can go into the bag and tamper with the purchase:( this needs to be better implemented on sealing the bag for delivery
I rely on skip the dish a lot and I won’t order again until this is fixed.

Really tasty bit of haddock nicely battered. Sweetest lemon. Thick cut fries like English would be better but they were real potatoes and tasty. Good coleslaw and creamy tartar. I got the takeaway and it was loaded with 'the good stuff'. Cheerful and friendly service and a proud chef. Clean and nicely decorated. Fin City is a great name. Go on, indulge yourself.
Updating review after our most recent visit. The fish was great as usual. However, we ordered the battered mushrooms for our guests. The order cost $9.99. Needless to say, we were shocked when we opened the box to find 8 small mushrooms inside. Needless to say, some guests had to go without. This place has the best fish and chips in Owen Sound. We had fish and chips twice in Ireland recently and this place has better food. After leaving reviews and contacting this business, they did offer a new order of mushrooms with a future order.

I was craving decent fish and chips and thought I’d give this place a shot. Around $27 for one small piece of halibut and sweet potato fries with a small tub of coleslaw. A ridiculous price for such a small amount of food.
It didn’t even taste all that great; the batter was substandard and tasteless. The measly amount of sweet potato fries were very disappointing. The ketchup was a brand I didn’t know and tasted terrible.
I waited inside for around 12 minutes for it to be cooked and the place was pretty grotty with fries buzzing around.
I certainly will not be back.

We had the 2 piece Halibut fish and chips. The fish and batter were good, however included in the $28.24 price were lots of French fries. There wasn't 1 good fry! The oil must be old. The fries were very dark and tasteless. Change your oil! For the price paid we expected much, much better.
