A heatwave is a great excuse to get out of cooking! Tonight, we decided to order a pizza from Nick's. This historic local takeout was purchased by a local family just a couple of years ago, knowing that they have big shoes to fill! Using the same quality ingredients of the previous owner, the founder, and applying the same techniques for thie pizza, chicken, subs, lasagna, and other menu items, they are establishing themselves quite well!! I ordered a 4 ingredients medium...
Typically this has been my go to place for chicken but the last two times something has been off. Not sure if they tweaked the coating but chicken tastes different. This time ordered chicken with a poutine upgrade, chicken flavour was again a bit off and a bit salty. The poutine gravy was very salty, almost to the point of not being able to eat. This is not typical for Nick’s, maybe trying to make the flavours their own but you shouldn’t mess with a proven thing.
Went there twice.
Assorted sub was okay but packed with too much lettuce for the way the bun is cut. Became very messy.
The 2 chicken was just chicken not very much flavor.
