“-Cafe-Kitty Hawk “NIGHTHAWK” Not too often I do shout outs to local businesses. There are a few exceptions, anyone who knows me I am very fussy about my hard earned money and so so establishments. I spotted this on the walk through town and thought Hmmmmmm….. sounds good but in a small town?? So I made a reservation online. I went in with hopes and dreams but with little expectations. Once inside the decor was soft, welcoming and warm. 1st - staff were amazing, friendly and helpful… and knew everything about anything about this place. Small menu but perfect menu. Not too often everything on the menu works seemlessly together. Was like the right and left shoe, add hat and coat. Every item makes the next. - White wine, fresh and cold ✔️ easy….. - I love an old fashion but it is hardly ever made correctly It was Perfect ✔️ - expresso martini for dessert wow ✔️ Ordered the medium Charcuterie board. - cured meats, cheese plus plus ✔️ - 6 Irish Point oysters - 6 Shiny Sea oysters their spin on sauces and the freshly graded horseradish, made the oysters outstanding. This is a real treat for a small town. I look forward to going back…. If you’re looking to relax, friendly atmosphere, and spending time talking and enjoying your company. This place is for you. I made a reservation for Valentines already. Proud to have this is our little hometown.”

“Phil prepared a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings which we picked up on the 24th for our Christmas dinner on the 25th. Popped it in the oven for an hour to reheat and served. No mess no fuss. Very generous servings and everything perfect. Thank you!”

You can customize the toppings and they sure don’t scrimp on them
Sat out front on a beautiful sunny day and loved it especially with the homemade strudel for dessert

“One of the nicest couples I have met , always the freshest croissants and pastries in the area. Almost all of Simcoe I've never had a melt in your mouth croissants they way I've had from la baguette. Always so kind and give us samples once in a blue moon. The lemon lavender cheesecake is to absolutely die for !!!

Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the overall vibe of the restaurant was warm and inviting. “I love this place, everytime. But this time, something wonderful happened. My father, who loves old movies, saw pictures on their wall of Time Travel, movies from the 60s. He was determined to ask for one. I begged him not to. Determined, he asked, and with no hesitation, the waitress, with permission from the owner, obliged. My father, who suffers from dementia, was so elated. He even got the waitress to sign it.

“Very disappointed with our recent visit to the arch. Loved it 3 years ago when the food was something to rave about and the the service was great. We reserved a table for 12 for supper and were immediately met with attitude at the door because we had small children (which made no fuss at all our whole service surprisingly enough), we were ignored and the lady who was waiting on us was quite rude. She rushed us into ordering and we could barely even get 1 refill of water - when we asked for refills we got an attitude in return, meanwhile watching other tables get 6 or 7 visits within a 10 minute time span. The food was alright this time around but nothing to rave about. It was quite annoying to us that there were 3 servers standing around doing nothing while we couldn’t seem to get anyone to come over to our table for simple refills. Felt like complete and utter out casts and like we didn’t fit the typical “mould” of people who normally eat there. The only time she was quick about anything was when we asked for 2 go boxes and the bill. Sure was on that one like a shot! Unsure wether we will be back or not at this point. Not a pleasant experience this time around.”

“That cake! Scored an Amazing cake on pure luck from this bakery and it was delicious! Have also picked up other treats (chocolate raspberry bars are a favourite!) and breads here. Everything made from scratch and with amazing flavour!”
