Great giant sandwiches, 10/10 would recommend
After a hot day, we truly enjoyed our time here. Everything was just right — the staff were kind and welcoming. I highly recommend trying the affogato and the soft serve ice cream!
The service , the food and the complete experience is always phenomenal! We are lucky to have a place like this at home. Thank you.
Wonderful spot for artisan sandwich and shell fish (oysters). Great atmosphere and bright. Staff is very pleasant. Lots of parking on the street. Small patio off the side of the building. Our meal was tasty and timely. My only constructive criticism is that there should be clear direction as to the seating and ordering procedure, otherwise absolutely perfect 👌
Stopped in here for dinner. The menu is extremely small, but everything is done beautifully. The desserts were a low point, but that's not what we came for. I was impressed with the plant wall and plants for sale 👌
-Cafe-Kitty Hawk “NIGHTHAWK” Not too often I do shout outs to local businesses. There are a few exceptions, anyone who knows me I am very fussy about my hard earned money and so so establishments. I spotted this on the walk through town and thought Hmmmmmm….. sounds good but in a small town?? So I made a reservation online. I went in with hopes and dreams but with little expectations. Once inside the decor was soft, welcoming and warm. 1st - staff were amazing, friendly and helpful… and knew everything about anything about this place. Small menu but perfect menu. Not too often everything on the menu works seemlessly together. Was like the right and left shoe, add hat and coat. Every item makes the next. - White wine, fresh and cold ✔️ easy….. - I love an old fashion but it is hardly ever made correctly It was Perfect ✔️ - expresso martini for dessert wow ✔️ Ordered the medium Charcuterie board. - cured meats, cheese plus plus ✔️ - 6 Irish Point oysters - 6 Shiny Sea oysters their spin on sauces and the freshly graded horseradish, made the oysters outstanding. This is a real treat for a small town. I look forward to going back…. If you’re looking to relax, friendly atmosphere, and spending time talking and enjoying your company. This place is for you. I made a reservation for Valentines already. Proud to have this is our little hometown.

Café KittyhawK
A peaceful table
In a local café;
Not one of those franchises
A small shop, not out of the way.
Friendly staff
Who treat you with care,
Always smiling and laughing;
It's love that they share.
A scrumptious menu
Can satisfy body and soul:
If it's made in-house
It'll leave you feeling whole.
Gourmet treats
Made fresh in the store,
Will tempt you for sure;
It's part of the elure.
Delicious coffee is my weakness,
But you might enjoy
A French wine, or a local brew.
Prefer soy? You can get that too!
It's a daytime shop,
Open from nine to five.
Closed Sunday and Monday
For the staff a reprieve.
Two night's a week
The place comes alive!
Friday and Saturday night;
An absolute delight!
The Nighthawk - they call it
It's a classy affair.
By reservation preferred,
With someone someone to share.
Don't take my word for it, but
I'm sure you'll be impressed.
Check it out for yourself

Today my wife and I took our 1 month old out for a coffee date with us. We each ordered a
cappuccino and my wife a Danish. We have both had many coffee shops around Ontario and agreed that cafe kittyhawk is one of our favorite coffees we've ever had. On top of this the servers were very kind and answered our questions and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be coming back again

We enjoyed our experience. Oysters and tuna tartare were great and loved the wine selection. Love what Nighthawk is doing in town- will be back : )

A must visit! They recently started doing Nighthawk again which is their Friday and Saturday night cocktail and tapas experience. I have been twice and both times it has been absolutely phenomenal. The cocktails are interesting, innovative, fun, and delicious. They recently added an Earl Grey martini to the menu which is amazing and my new favourite drink! The food is also incredible. The menu is so thoughtfully curated with an emphasis on fresh and high quality ingredients. The seafood is hands down the best in the area. Make sure to try their oysters and their ceviche (they currently have two different kinds and both are equally amazing, you really can’t go wrong). Finally, the atmosphere is amazing because the entire team is clearly passionate and excited about what they’re offering. It’s an incredibly welcoming space and everyone involved is not only knowledgeable about what you’re eating and drinking but they’re genuinely interested in hearing your feedback. Make this part of your weekend plans, you definitely won’t regret it.

If I could do 0 stars I would. We ordered a cappuccino and flat white and both came to us boiling hot to the point where my partner needed to use her sleeve to hold the cup and needed to ask for ice cubes to make it drinkable. I know it sounds silly to complain about hot coffee, but cappuccinos aren’t meant to be boiling temp. Then the breakfast wraps came which were hotter than the sun and resulted in mounds of soggy, wilted lettuce, one piece fell out and literally burnt our chin. Everything was just made with so little care. In reading the two last reviews I suspect we had the same server who kinda just moped around. We also went to Foodland after and when I was reading the past bad reviews out loud the person in front of us actually asked “are you talking about Cafe Kittyhawk?” and then went on to say they’d been last week and also had a bad experience with the server and the food. Definitely won’t give it another try.

Recommended dishes: Breakfast Sandwiches
Not really sure where to start. The drinks are good! The food was terrible. I had a sandwich with rotten lettuce, one slice of tomato that was the part with the stem, and my bagel was warm but definitely not toasted. My partner had a grilled cheese that randomly had mustard which was definitely not shown on the menu. The bread was so stale it fell apart when you touched it. The soup had a strange after taste and I guess I should have realized the weird glare from the cashier when we asked what soup they had should have been my hint to not order it. Considering that 2 drinks, 2 sandwiches and one soup was over $40 for that quality is horrifying. I should have told them when they asked how the meal was but I was honestly just more desperate to leave and new the till was broken so refunds were not in the question. This place has a lot of potential but needs a lot of work.

Been to Cafe kittyhawk before, it was nice , unfortunately service at present is horrible.We ordered a breakfast sandwich, and there was a hair in it. We let the employee know, he seemed unfazed by it, we ended up getting a refund on that. Also, the tea had barely any milk, I think the best way is to leave the milk/cream for the customer to use. Most Importantly, the employees seemed dazed and disinterested.
