Dixie Lee Fried Chicken | Best Fast Food Restaurant

I've been going to Dixie Lee's for over 25 years. March 21st 2026 I ordered a 10 piece meal. With taxes and tip came to 72.37. It was not good. We received 4 small grease legs,2 small thighs and not sure what the other pieces were. We've always enjoyed there chicken but that was disappointing. The chicken is very small for that much money. Sorry for the bad review.

My wife and I had the chicken and fries. We were very impressed with everything. And what makes it even more amazing is the fact that they use beef tallow to fry the food.

First time to a Dixie Lee in over 15 years (they’re few and far between). Had the hot chicken sandwich dinner (delicious) - it was just like homemade. Their fries have a nice crunch!

The lady on duty is super nice!

Unfortunately, they don’t have seafood anymore, but that’s okay. They don’t have a dining area - they don’t have the space.

Looking forward to my next visit!

Thr chicken was alright, nothing to write home about. I found it had little flavour and was salty. I thought the prices were steep - $40 for 8pc of chicken (no sides)

Great locally owned and run business. Best fried chicken and macaroni salad I’ve had in a long time. Quick and polite service from the staff who turned out to be one of the owners. If I return to the area, this will be my number one stop.

This is the place to go if you want fresh chicken!! Nice texture and the coating has flavour -- not a mouth full of overpowering 'salt and chemicals'.

The chicken sandwich has a perfect crunch and it stays til the end; even with the sauce and tomato. I like to switch up the sauces -- there's a variety to please whatever mood you're in. Even the plain mayo is lovely and always has a good sauce-to-chicken ratio. Never dry or too messy.

The poutine tastes like real chicken gravy and is not greasy. Lots of curds and comes in different sizes.

The hot chicken sandwich is filling and the gravy is served on the side. Doesn't get soggy on the drive home.

Friendly service -- genuine and pleasant. Food is made with TLC.

**I'm not usually a fan of North American fast-food chicken TBH because it's often overly salty with rubbery meat. Dixie Lee is flavourful and I even crave it lol. I don't just pick up a sandwich because 'it's convenient and on the drive home'.

Ordered 2 lbs of wings yesterday they were so terrible they ended up in the garbage bin what a waste of time and money ( never again)

We ordered 2pc chicken, crisscut fries, popcorn chicken, fries and gravy. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting for a few hours and it was incredibly salty. Our child enjoyed the popcorn chicken as I think it was probably cooked fresh. The crisscut fries were also tasty. Good fries and gravy. We came here for the fried chicken though and it was a disappointment to be served something far from fresh. We won’t be returning or recommending this to others.

I ORDERED LIKE EVERYTHING TO BE EXTRA LARGE AND MY FAMILY HAD TO STARVE BECAUSE IF THE EXTRA LARGE IS BASICALLY A PERSONAL SERVING LIKE 😐😐

Perfectly cooked fried chicken, and lovely team! We decided to treat out team, and order lunch for 10 hungry barbers. The food was all perfectly prepared in a very timely manner, plus the owners were so sweet and grateful to their customers. Lovely little lunch spot or grab and go. Save yourself the cooking and clean up, and enjoy something you can't duplicate at home. We will be back!

The best chicken in town! Not filled with all of the garbage "other" Fried Chicken places use! Fresh and delicious! Our absolute go to when we're craving fried chicken! This location has the best fries, chicken and coleslaw in the whole area! We don't go anywhere else! I ordered the mega meal tonight (10pcs, big fry, gravy and a medium coleslaw) and it was ready in 15 minutes!
