Really nice decor, and a very cosy atmosphere. The food was good, but I found that the table setup was uncomfortable.
Unrelated tables were really close together, and our table was twice as wide as it was long - this meant there was little space for our plates in front of us, but way too much space on both sides.
Our server, Amy, was very nice, but it seemed like she was left to manage too many tables at once, which caused us to wait a while.
I'd like to visit again.

First time visiting this very peaceful dining at the Pier 21. A hidden Jen on the main street. We loved the atmosphere. Felt like I was on vacation. The menu was great. Our waitress amazing and friendly. I could go on but this place checked off all the boxes. Highly recommend it. Celebrated my birthday with my husband. Couldn’t have enjoyed another place. Thank you for the experience. 🤓

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Pier 21 - An Unforgettable Anniversary Experience!**

We recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary at **Pier 21**, and it was nothing short of amazing! Our night was made so special by the fun-loving and attentive **Vanessa**, who was our main server and gave us her full attention all evening. Later, we were also warmly welcomed by the manager, **Megan**, which added an extra personal touch to the night.

The food was spectacular! We had the **pickerel** and **chicken souvlaki** as our mains, and both were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The kitchen didn’t hold back—especially on the feta cheese in the salads, which were generous and flavorful. The attention to detail was impressive, from the perfectly hot plates to the *creme brulee*, which was silky smooth and absolutely divine.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we felt so well taken care of the entire night. This was truly the perfect spot to celebrate our first year of love together, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Pier 21, for making our evening unforgettable!

Nice little place in downtown Penetanguishene. Vanessa was a wonderful server for our group of eight. Carried on with our friends’ elderly father much to his amusement, and ours. Our other set of friends, who arranged things are local, and regulars.

We were in Midland for my wife’s birthday and asked a trusted source about a special place to eat in the area, and he mentioned Port 21. How glad we are that he did! Our welcome couldn’t have been warmer; and our waitress, Vanessa, was both a lot of fun and exceedingly professional. It was a Friday night, so we both wanted fish but didn’t relish tackling pickerel bones. Vanessa kindly offered to substitute haddock as our dinner entrée. We both had the house salad which came with the meal. It was packed to the gunnels with vegetables and was delicious. Our pan-fried haddock was done to perfection, and the accompanying variety of vegetables put the smattering of vegetables we receive in other restaurants to shame. Our dinner tasted like a home-cooked meal. We topped the evening off by ordering the baklava for dessert, which was out of this world. We mentioned the name of our source to the hostess, Meaghan, with the hopes that she would pass his name on to the owner. She did better than that, as Nick came in shortly afterwards. We were thrilled to tell him how much we enjoyed our dinners and appreciated his friend’s referral. He tried his best to give us a discount, but we wouldn’t take it, as it wouldn’t have been fair to his restaurant and staff. The next time we’re in the Midland area, we’ll definitely return to Pier 21.

Our server Vanessa was friendly and upbeat, she was a pleasure to interact with. My dietary issues (gluten and garlic intolerance) were no problem for the kitchen, with many options to choose from.

Vegetarian options: Veggie burgers, salads and some cooked options are available

Dietary restrictions: Garlic and gluten intolerance was not a problem for the kitchen

Parking: Street parking and public lot behind
