Wing House Penetanguishene

Went with my kids to dine in. Used to enjoy this place alot. The food isn't great anymore and the atmosphere was once happy and welcoming now just sad and depressing. I ordered a cheeseburger that was not fully cooked. The very sweet waitress tried to get me wings instead the the cooks wouldnt allow that. Im okay with not getting any thing else as a substitute but the fact they didnt care to make the error the kitchen did, right with the customer is wild. Not sure how to post a picture but I do infact have the burger cut in half and it very visable that it is not cooked. Dont recommend.

Funny story:

Wing house serves previously frozen/cooked wings, just like in any cheapie sports bar.
I didn't see price on a menu, I would assume it's not really expensive, just wings.
Ordered Smokey BBQ.

Was very hungry and didn't pay attention on a strange nasty aftertaste. 2 wings later I realized that they used RED HOT sauce instead of what i ordered.
Sour, spicy. I gave it to my friend to try, he admitted as well with a smile it was a red hot sauce.

You guys are serious?
That's so nasty .
Not coming back.

Great food, awesome service and the atmosphere was amazing... we did have a very long time for our food, a little disappointed but it was worth it...

We went for dinner and the food and service was unbelievable. Our server Nia was outstanding.

Great time with our group of 11! Nia was wonderful and had everything organized - provided exceptional service and made sure everything was perfect! Had a smile and was happy to get us anything we need!

My first time there, I ordered the cheese burger with everything on it and extra mayonnaise. When I was served, the burger had only beef and cheese. I told the server that I ordered the burger with everything on it, expecting lettus, tomatoes, onions, pickles, hot peppers, mustard, ketchup and extra mayo. The waitress said it only comes with beef and cheese, that's everything, LOL. I asked her to please bring me lettus, pickles, and a slice of tomato with extra mayo. She did and I added these condiments to my burger, it was a little cold by then but delicious. Thankfully I didn't order onions as well because when I received my bill I was charged 1.45 plus tax for a slice of tomato, 1.45 for a lettus leaf, and 1.45 for a pickle on top of the price of a cheese burger. The food is good, but seriously? I asked the waitress about it, and she said the cook told her to charge this. Not sure where the owners were. I asked her to look at the menu and if I wanted a cheese burger fully loaded what is the price difference? She said a dollar but would not alter my bill. I still tipped her 20 percent, it was not her fault. I will not be back, not because of the money or food, but in principle. They lost a customer and all my family and friends.

First time there. I thought the wings were a bit dry. Got the Honey and Garlic ones.

This location is very good. I find the one in Midland to be very loud. The wings are great and they have decent specials each day.

Wing house in Penetang. My first time trying something other than their wings(which are awesome) and I wasn't disappointed! The chefs souvlaki was fantastic. Huge portions and well presented. My husband had his usual wings and said they were the best he's had! Coodos to the chef.

Takeout 10/10! We ordered smoky jerk wings , original quesadilla & the Mexican fries were my absolute favourite! Great portions as well. We will be back :)

Had one of the best burgers at the Wing House , Wings are amazing but wow what a burger , Fresh toasted bun well cooked patty, and the sauce just compliments the finish , thanks guys I'll be back ?.

Parking: Down in Main street plenty of spots on both sides of the road , parking is no issue.

Kid-friendliness: Kids eat free on Mondays

I've ordered from Wing House Penetanguishene many times before but today was by far the worst experience I had.

Service from tonight's waitresses on this shift was utterly a mess and created a bad experience for everyone including the cooks. We tried to order via phone but we're left to ring a few times. We tried again and were picked up and immediately hung up on.

Then on after, phone calls proceeded to go directly to answering machine.

We went down in person to order since we couldn't get through on phone. The restaurant had about 3 tables full and two waitresses working. We were seen by a blonde waitress and ordered our take-out. We ordered two chicken souvlaki which usually has the option between fries and rice. She never asked for the options and just gave us fries as default. (Which is what we didn't want) We should've questioned it but I thought I was misremembering if it did come with options or just was only rice.

We waited the 45 mins she told us to wait and came back to an even emptier restaurant. We got our food and asked if they were having issues with their phone where the same waitress said that she turned off the phone and didn't answer because they were "too busy".

We have never had any issues before and the food is always been pretty good, even today most of my family enjoyed the food they ate.

However, this experience with this waitress puts in question if I want to bother going through all this turmoil again. Should my experience at this restaurant and success of getting food we wanted to order depend on if my waitress ends up wanting to do her job correctly? If she's to busy to care enough about taking a proper order or picking up a phone?

She's not busy enough to take the time to turn off the phone however, not busy enough to take our order in person and definitely not busy enough to give us attitude when asking about why we got fries and not rice.

Decided to go for a quick bite to eat. The place from the outside seems a little run down. Seemed to have a sports l bar vibe going on. Parking was limited but lots of street parking was available. On the inside it was quite dark and stuffy. Menu provided many options and they had a wing page with over 100 different flavours of wings. I ended up getting the steak sandwich and lord of the rings onion rings. Steak sandwich the waitress didn’t ask how I wanted my steak so it was cooked well done. The onion rings are frozen from a grocery store and weren’t anything special. Prices were fair. Beer on tab was limited and didn’t have anything local. I went with 2 friends and we all ordered sandwiches and it took 40 minutes to make three sandwiches for 3 people which seemed long especially since there were limited people in the restaurant. Saving grace at the end was that they had a candy bowl with toothpicks.
