I have so many nice things to say about Gather, I'll go for the highlights here.
I'm from out of town, but my mother myself, and my little one (who was four months old at the time) first ate at Gather when it had only just opened in 2021. We were served by the owner, Kerri, who couldn't have been kinder. The food was excellent, as well. Everything is made to order, and the ingredients used are mostly local, which I appreciate.
Fast forward almost four years later, and we were in Perth again yesterday (all three of us!). There are many great dining establishments in the area, but I chose Gather based on our previous experience. Kerry was there (again!), friendly as always. I could see her running from table to table with a smile on her face, chatting with the patrons.
Once again, our food was excellent. I also appreciate that the menu is extensive and affordable and that they do a wonderful grilled cheese lunch for the kiddos! My now four-year-old thought it was delicious... and he's not always an easy sell.
From the service to the food to the atmosphere, Gather is made with love. And you feel it. It's my understanding that they are moving into a larger space just down the street. They deserve all their success!
P.S. When writing a review, I always look to see if the owners/managers acknowledge/respond to them. It speaks volumes to me when they do (and also when they don't...). I see Gather responds to all their reviews, which should tell you something about how much they care about their service and product... and me and you as customers.

We had a fantastic experience at this charming, locally-owned restaurant! I tried the daily special — an Asian tuna poke bowl — and my brother-in-law had the curried chicken salad sandwich. Both dishes were bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The space itself is warm and inviting, with walls covered in stunning artwork by local artists, adding a really unique and creative touch.
From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent — attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. Our water glasses were never empty, and the meal ended with a delightful sweet treat that made the whole experience even more memorable.
Highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for delicious food, great service, and a cozy, artful atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Unfortunately we never even got the opportunity to dine here. We didn't have a reservation but the lady who greeted us said we could leave our name and phone number and there should be a table available in about 15 minutes. We could run an errand or whatever but she assured us she would call as soon as a table opened up. We waited 45 minutes before we gave up and chose another lovely spot on Perth. It is now 2 hours and we still haven't received a call.

Excellent food, great coffee, and superb friendly service. Vegan and vegetarian options. Food was super fresh with fresh baked bread and croissant. Awesome vibe too, you can tell that both staff and patrons enjoy being there. Don't miss this one!

Looking for a spot for lunch and we lucked into this restaurant. Service, food and wine were excellent. Able to purchase some delicious wine that isn’t available in the LCBO. Definitely be returning on our next outing to Perth.

Phenomenal!! Best egg salad sandwich we have ever had. BLT was delicious. All sandwiches come with soup or salad and you can upgrade to a beet and pear salad-I would strongly recommend that you upgrade. Beet and pear salad was 10/10.

This is a cute little spot that had creative and tasty vegan and vegetarian options! I was pretty pleased with my soup and chickpea omelette sandwich, although the omelette could have used a little more seasoning.
NOTE: I think there was cilantro on my sandwich, even though it wasn’t listed in the menu. Cilantro tastes soapy to me, and if it does to you, too, you may wish to preemptively ask to exclude cilantro regardless of what the menu says.
