If you find yourself near Perth, Ontario as Mark Brunet and I did last Saturday, do yourself a favour and stop at Hourglass. A fabulous restaurant with delicious fresh food and coffee and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The owner David and his wife Hayley are wonderful, this was the highlight of our drive home! And the surprise carrot cake to go was over the top!! Thank you David & Hayley, you made our day 🙂
Delicious lattes and scones! Yesterday, I also ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was fabulous. Lovely space to take kids as they have an area in the back with sofas and books and games.

A few blocks away from the main strip, but definitely worth the extra steps. Friendly service, tasty sandwiches and drinks, with an artistic touch.

Excellent coffee. Ordered toast for my toddler. They cut it into soldiers and removed the crust. Will return without fail.

Nice quiet coffee shop in a beautiful building
Thank you Dave and staff for the great service and the best scones ever. Planning lots of motorcycle drop ins this summer
The Americano coffee at Hourglass was awesome. The coffee was smooth and not acidic. We also enjoyed the cute baby breath flowers. The atmosphere was good with plenty of seating options including the comfy couches.
Hourglass is a bright, cheery, cozy space. It is equally suited to catching up with a friend over lunch, reading a novel with tea in hand while curled up on a couch (so comfortable!), or fuelling up on coffee while working on your latest project.
The friendly staff make ordering a pleasure, and without even mentioning anything else on the menu, the scones alone are entirely worth the visit.
This is the kind of place you'll make any excuse to visit, because it just makes you feel good to be there. (Well, that's the case for me, 75-minute drive and all.)
Great food, and dedicated staff.
Would highly recommend!
