The Americano coffee at Hourglass was awesome. The coffee was smooth and not acidic. We also enjoyed the cute baby breath flowers. The atmosphere was good with plenty of seating options including the comfy couches.

Hourglass is a bright, cheery, cozy space. It is equally suited to catching up with a friend over lunch, reading a novel with tea in hand while curled up on a couch (so comfortable!), or fuelling up on coffee while working on your latest project.
The friendly staff make ordering a pleasure, and without even mentioning anything else on the menu, the scones alone are entirely worth the visit.
This is the kind of place you'll make any excuse to visit, because it just makes you feel good to be there. (Well, that's the case for me, 75-minute drive and all.)

One could consider this off the beaten path if you’re traveling the Hwy 7 corridor but it’s worthy of a detour. I had the Toasty Flat and tea. Delicious. Cute atmosphere in the old shoe factory.

I have been looking for a good scone since I moved to Canada and I have finally found it!!! My family love going to The Hourglass, the food is amazing, the staff are all so friendly and the venue is beautiful and welcoming. Oh and did I mention the yummy scones!!!!

Our favorite place to get coffee and a snack in Perth. The owners and staff are lovely and very welcoming, but the best thing is the food - everything I've had has been delicious and freshly made.
Lovely, large, clean and well maintained space. Highly recommended. There's also plenty of free parking right outside, which is a real boon in Perth.
There was a long line-up to order and a long wait for food. The way the food was handled was disgusting. One of the women touched the food and then licked her fingers, TWICE! I saw her pick-up some garbage from the floor and touch the sandwich she was preparing. I never saw her wash her hands once. I politely informed the man cleaning dishes, after the first time she licked her fingers, to remind the ladies in the back to wash their hands after touching their mouth or face. This woman did it again. Someone is going to get sick from this place. I don't recommend eating here and I wouldn't eat here again.
