The New Year's Eve menu was very limited and this is not authentic German food. The seasonal vegetables were boiled to the point limp, and mushy. The chicken was white and not browned, almost boiled looking. The red cabbage was only a couple tablespoons. The tiny salad was celery ,onion with a soft tomato wedge. My husband had the schnitzel which was dry. We wanted to give this place another try but this is our last visit. So disappointed.

Visited there 28th of november 2024, i have to say it was very disappointing.
Very poor salad, cheap store bought bread.
Dinner was a schnitzel and potatoes and thats it.
Probably the worst food i have had for the money paid.
Just not worth the money
I will not be going back.

A Perth tradition worth sharing!
Maximilian's is an experience that our family has enjoyed for generations. The Jägerschnitzel with butter potatoes is always the best, and never disappoints! Consistency and quality of food, warm atmosphere - Highly recommend

Had schnitzel.... it's not bad... prices are higher than I expected but I guess it is the way it is these days...was there for lunch so only ordered the smaller version... dinner size is huge

From the beginning, our server seemed inattentive and unaccommodating. When we politely asked for a few more minutes to decide on our order, the waitress refused to return, forcing us to approach her to place our order. This left us feeling quite uncomfortable. As for the meal, the schnitzel l tasted burnt, while the salmon had an unpleasant taste, suggesting it may not have been fresh. Additionally, the bread was served cold and stale, so much so that after just a few bites, we decided to stop eating it altogether.
Despite leaving 99% of the food on our plates, the waitress did not ask if there was any issue when she brought the bill, which made the lack of concern all the more disheartening.

Dietary restrictions: The gluten free schnitzel was delicious. I didn't feel like I was missing out when everyone else had schnitzel. We had a family dinner with three generations from grandparents to 4 yo. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

A family-favourite, always on the table for special occasions or even just whenever we want delicious takeout. We don’t live in Perth but we consistently make the drive without hesitation for this delightful food. The schnitzel dinner for two is my favourite; full meal for each person and 2 slices of fresh pie which never go uneaten.

Parking: One spot directly out front for takeout orders, paid parking behind the restaurant provided by the town of Perth ($1/hour)

This is an excellent place to try German cuisine. I have tried their pretzel, schnitzel and goulash and all were spot on. A must try when you visit Perth. In Summer, ask for the patio, overlooking the lovely fountain in Tay River! Suggestion to the Mangement - add more German beers to the menu.

The staff was rude from the moment we walked in and throughout the entire service. As for the meals, we had to wait a long time to be served. The potatoes that came with the schnitzels were cold. Had we not been there for a relative's birthday meal, we would have gone somewhere else.
