The staff is very friendly and the food was quick to the table.

The booths could use adjusting. When the people behind you get up or down, your seat raises or lowers

Small place, very casual, food tastes like it's homemade. Good size servings and affordable. Had a great time.

I came in for breakfast last week and had some breakfast, the deal on the board. The waitress asked me the usual questions. When it came to toast I said rye. I ate the meal it tasted like something I could easily make at home and went to the register. The waitress did not tell me that the rye toast was $1 extra. I paid extra for my breakfast that came out to $18.93 after tax and tip. And I told myself I'm never eating here again. Which is sad because I was just starting to get fond of maybe making it a regular stop. But that was my first breakfast experience there and last breakfast experience there and last overall experience as well. I went to Costco instead the next week. Bought 24 eggs and bigger sausages than they served for about the cost of two Peter's breakfasts cooked my own small potatoes and ate them with coffee jam and the works. Thanks to that experience at Peter's my cost effectiveness went up by a high margin I saved a bundle on eating out costs and that $18.93 bought me about 15 full breakfasts with left overs to boot! When I also purchased my meal the waitress said look at all the people lined up! Yes lined up to be overcharged and not told about it till payment. Never going back. Goodbye! 👋

Basic food. Nice service. The floors throughout need a scrub. It needs a big cleanup.

A restaurant classic anchored in the soul of the city. An unpretentious but delicious menu and a warm, family atmosphere. A stop is necessary!

Ordered the wings & was really surprised at how good they were. Very meaty & very tasty. I will order again. The staff, as always, were very friendly & accommodated my change of seats (twice!!) when someone in our party did not show up. Thanks for taking such good care of me.

2 kids meals (1 with poutine upgrade)
2 club wrap meals (1 with poutine upgrade)
2 coffees

This was what it costs.

The portions weren't big, and the club wraps were mainly lettuce. I actually had to send mine back because there was literally no bacon and a tiny amount of chicken.
I couldn't believe it.
Food wasn't anything special either.
Buyer beware more than anything.

Best breakfast we have had in a very long time. While we ordered from the menu offerings our server customized the meal for us resulting in an exceptional breakfast. Service was fast and friendly without being rushed. Highly recommend

The service was friendly but not effective. We were offered toast and onions with our home fries. The waitress neglected to tell us that there was an extra charge. We were charged $3.50 extra each for a few pieces of onion with our home fries and marble rye toast.
The home fries were not good. Everything else was pretty good. The atmosphere is your average greasy spoon.

When we asked about the extra charge, there was no apology or acknowledgment at all that they did not inform us. She said she usually does. None of us would have ordered mediocre rye bread or onions for an extra charge.

This review would have been 4 stars if they had been honest and upfront.

The food itself was really good. But was overcharged for what I ordered and when asking the cashier girl, she gave a dismissive response/explanation and instead of making a scene I just left. A breakfast no 1, $16.95, add onions $2 and a coke $2.75. How do you get $33 out of this.
Receipt is not itemized.
If I go back and this happens again, I WILL MAKE A SCENE.
