My family and I went in and tried the buffet tonight and it was absolutely delicious!! Thank you so much for the great good, service and the atmosphere. We were all delighted. We loved the love music as well, it's great to see the restaurant supporting local talent!! We will be back.

We placed an Uber pickup order. The chicken curry didn’t taste anything like chicken curry — it honestly tasted more like tomato curry. The food had almost no flavor to it; the only thing you could taste was tomatoes. Worst chicken curry I have ever tasted in my life. Very disappointed.

My family LOVES this place. Our forever favourite Indian restaurant and we live 45 minutes away. Yet Shafiq's is always top of the list for special occasion dinners like birthdays. In the years we have been coming here I don't think I've ever had a dish disappoint me, somehow everything just tastes sooooo good.
I recommend the bahji and the chicken korma 🤤

Our meal was amazing. I came with a group of 6 people and we all ordered a dish each and shared them amongst eachother. Everything was very reasonably priced especially for what you received. The environment was amazing, and the service was just as good.

The best authentic Indian food I have had for quite some time. The owners are very polite and provide excellent service. They have a menu with many choices of dishes and tasty spicy offerings. All members of our party of four were impressed, we will return to this gem again.

Restaurantji Recommends
This has become one of my favourite restaurants in Peterborough. Over the last three years I have eaten there many times. The only draw back is the limited parking but that is mitigated by parking on Lake Street. Wonderful service by all that work there. If you like Indian food, like me, you will not be disappointed.

My first time here and what a pleasant surprise. We were the only guests in the restaurant to dine in which was surprising for how truly great it is. There were lots of take out orders and drivers for online food apps picking up. The atmosphere was very welcoming and accommodating. The service and food was exceptional. Shafiq was a gem and even brought us out a dish of his homemade ice cream to try.
I will definitely be back to indulge in all the amazing flavours of India and to Shafiq’s amazing service and interaction.

The best Indian food I’ve ever had - the way the so their korma with the sultanas and the rose water is my number one all time favourite food. I moved away and every time I come back to Peterborough I try and stop by just for that.

Expensive for the little amount of chicken in each dish. Containers were all sauce, couldnt even see the chicken when opened. Maybe five very small pieces of chicken. We bought four chicken dishes for $80 and barely got one chicken breast amongst all the dishes. We use to love this restaurant but the quality and quantity is poor. Spending $140 for four people and we ate mostly rice and sauce (rice you have to purchase separately)

Fariha has excellent customer service and chicken korma with naan and ice tea was mouth watering. A must try if you’re in Peterborough
