I was served by a sweet young blond girl with pigtail braids this afternoon. She was absolutely amazing. Very sweet and personable to everybody and was on top of refilling coffees! I got the 1/4 chicken meal and it was delicious. Came out fast and hot. We’ll definitely be back soon.

I went to the take out window on a Monday night before visiting a family member in the hospital. I was craving some chalet sauce and ordered a quarter chicken dinner, extra chalet sauce, and a soda to-go. It cost $24 and took about 15 minutes to prepare. It was sealed nicely in a paper bag. At the hospital, I opened up my meal and found no drink, no extra sauce, no cutlery, and no butter for the bun. Excusing the items that I paid for and didn’t receive but how can you package a take out order without takeout cutlery? I called the store and asked to speak with a manager to explain the issue because I couldn’t eat, nevermind enjoy, my meal. They refused to let me speak to a manager and asked what the issue was. I explained and they offered a credit for the missing soda and sauce. No acknowledgment or apology for the error. They took down my name and phone number, saying they could issue a credit with my phone number (what?) but it’s been a week and a half and I haven’t received anything. Craving ruined. Super disappointing considering the cost for one meal.

I visited a couple of weeks ago - dine-in- and loved the BBQ Chicken sandwich so much that I decided to do take out last Monday. I also ordered the garlic loaf. The sandwich tasted okay but chicken was so overdone at first I thought it was pork. (I should have taken a photo) Very little sauce on the sandwich and instead of giving me extra BBQ sauce, they gave me their signature gravy, which I am not fond of. The bread itself was delicious but hardly any garlic drizzle, little to no cheese and very few tomato and green onions. Very disappointing. Too far to bother going back. Will I go back to the restaurant? Yes, because dining in can correct any mistakes, but I will never order take out again.

Why can't you cook a juicy chicken?
I love Swiss Chalet. The last couple of times at the chemong location in Peterborough, despite coming in at 5:30 pm assuming the Fresh Chicken would be juicy, ready for the dinner crowd..NOT!
It is disappointing to see the chicken cooked so well done that the stringy meat is breaking apart. You can add all sorts of new item like roast beef on your menu, unless your core business, which is chicken, is cooked to perfection as best as you can.You are in the wrong business!

Takeout food was bad. I ordered a Classic family chicken with back rib, a simple meal but the chicken was dried and cold and the fried were cold not fresh, it seems like day old food they microwaved them, the rib was a very very small piece, never again, better just order from Costco next door. If i was closed by I would return the food.
