It's been a while since I've been here. Sakada is a small Japanese restaurant located in a neighbourhood plaza in Pickering. It appears to be family owned and run. Very friendly people. I was planning to order one of the lunch specials posted in the window but then I saw the All You Can Eat lunch special for $14.00, including a drink. It was too tempting. I ordered a mixture of dishes, starting with miso soup, green salad, and seaweed. That was followed by beef and chicken teriyaki, broccoli tempura, a couple of tofu dishes, and a couple of crab rolls. That was more than enough to stuff me! I'm no sushi expert but everything tasted pretty good. The teriyaki dishes were delicious and everything else was freshly made and yummy. The service was also quite good, especially with a steady stream of customers coming in to pick up orders.

Was just driving around looking for food and found this place in a strip plaza. Very friendly service. The lady at the front desk is very sweet and nice. I noticed a lot of teens eating there and she was very kind to them like a mother. I ordered a bunch of set menu take out. The price is very good for Japanese Food. The portions are a good size. The food is pretty good. I dropped $40 for dinner for 3 (could of been for 4) , much healthier than burger and fries. I will definitely make this a regular family take out venue.

Very disappointed; The rice was hard, and the sushi was so thick with rice. I would come back to try other stuff in their menu as I heard some good things from other people.

I live near the restaurant and usually call in my order and go and pick it up. They have delivery but I prefer to pick it up when I am in the plaza. They have great deals for dinner's for two. We have gone several times for dinner and still brought home food. Staff is quick and efficient.
