We had two servers and they were very nice to us. The woman at the front was very rude when we were being seated and at another time. Not very inviting. Maybe she was there all day and had a bad day, but still not pleasant to us. But the food was good and our servers were very, very friendly.

We were given a table in back close to the kitchen noises with the robot disturbing us. The food tasted good overall but few items were served cold. It was a frustrating experience we waited for our all night. The service and food delivery 1/10.
My husband saw a guy server coughing on the food.

My girlfriend's go to spot for sushi in Durham and I'm thoroughly impressed everytime we have their food! We enjoy both take out trays for the family at home as well as AYCE dates at their restaurant.
The trays are big with a nice variety and can feed 5-6 people for just over $120. The 10% cash discount is always appreciated as well!
The AYCE has a very nice menu, the food comes quick and is always delicious, all the staff are very friendly as well!

I don’t normally write negative reviews, but after multiple visits, I feel it’s important to share my experience. Unfortunately, the service has consistently not been the best, and it has made each visit feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming rather than enjoyable.
The main concern has been with one specific lady who works there. I haven’t been able to get her name, but she seems to always be present during our visits and has repeatedly made me feel uncomfortable. She often has a rude or dismissive tone when speaking to me, and on multiple occasions, she has rushed us by repeatedly asking if we were done — even while we were still eating our main courses and hadn’t ordered dessert yet. She would approach the table with her hand out for the iPad before we were finished, which felt invasive and pressured. It creates an atmosphere where you feel watched and hurried out instead of welcomed.
There was also one situation that stood out to me. Both my drink and my boyfriend’s drink were clearly empty. She came up to the table and only offered him a refill, looking directly at his cup and speaking only to him. She did not acknowledge me at all until he specifically asked her to refill mine as well. Even he noticed and found it odd that she ignored my empty drink entirely. That interaction made me feel dismissed and uncomfortable.
During my most recent visit with my family, I initially thought she was not our waitress that evening. However, she still came to our table regarding my drink order. I had ordered an iced tea, and instead of politely informing me they were out, she told me in a sharp tone that they didn’t have iced tea and that I needed to order something else. The way she spoke felt irritated and almost annoyed that I had ordered it in the first place. She continued repeating that they didn’t have it without offering alternatives in a friendly manner, which made me feel upset and embarrassed. Unfortunately, this tone is consistent with how she has spoken to me on previous visits — she has never been warm or welcoming toward me.
Additionally, during that same visit, we waited about 25 minutes for three ice creams after already paying the bill. We reminded the waitress several times, but she would nod without really acknowledging us, and the ice cream still took a long time to arrive. It made us feel overlooked and unimportant as customers.
I also spoke with a family member who mentioned he experienced the same rushed and uncomfortable service from this same lady when he visited with a group of friends. Overall, the repeated rushing, rude tone, lack of attentiveness, and unwelcoming atmosphere have taken away from what should be a pleasant dining experience.

People who don’t really know what Sushi is will give this place 5 stars !!
I had a very disappointing experience at this sushi restaurant. The quality of the seafood was extremely poor. The sashimi tasted old and had an unpleasant, almost crunchy texture, which is completely unacceptable for raw fish. The sushi rolls contained very little actual seafood — mostly rice and sauce — making them feel cheap and poorly prepared.
Overall, the food quality was far below standard. I would not recommend this place.

My go to sushi place. I would recommend definitely paying a visit. The food arrives fast after making an order. The seating is fair and the atmosphere is overall nice, especially the music.

Definitely a 5 star place. Sushi is made very well with minimal rice, allowing you to enjoy every part of the fish. Not to mention the prompt service and excellent selection of food and sushi. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Probably the best Sushi place in Pickering. Way better than Makimono and 1298. The dinner selection is amazing. Highly recommend

Good food and great service!
Came here on a Friday for lunch and it wasn’t too busy. There was a lot of seating available.
We were happy to find the sushi to be very fresh and not made with too much rice. There was also some sashimi available on the lunch menu, which was great! Hot tea is also an included beverage.
We did find the eel avocado rolls to be a little bit too sweet because of the sauce.
They had a good variety of dishes and the food came out really quickly.
Service was excellent. Very nice staff. Price is reasonable too.
Washrooms were clean and warm, especially in this cold weather!

I can not emphasize how bad this restaurant is. I am still regretting my money, my tummy and my time. Low quality food, and careless waitresses.
My daughter loves sushi experience with robots and we decided to try this place yesterday. My daughter usually takes few white rice from the sushi and eats them with soy sauce or some spring rolls and then she likes to have some ice-cream and something sweet. We repeatedly asked them to send her food with robot, and they kept forgetting it. I am wondering how difficult is to keep in mind that kids love the robot !? Aren't they there to attract customers especially families with kids???
Also, I am a really good eater and not picky at all but I stopped eating at the begging right after trying the sushi. The only good thing was the sesame seed balls with chocolate inside and a steamed custard bun that my daughter ordered. Even spring roll was really old!!!!!
