Two visits in a row now where I have gone inside the restaurant and ordered my meals to go.. the staff that I dealt with both times were just terrible. I couldn’t understand what they were saying to me.. in “English”, they kept trying to rush you out of there instead of taking their time preparing your food, they stand there and talk in their other languages and act like the customers either shouldn’t be there or are in the wrong about something.. and to add insult to injury, it was the rudest staff I’ve ever experienced there. All while I was literally just waiting for my order. I used to love this Harvey’s/swiss chalet before the new owners took over. Sad.

I just want to mention that when an employee goes out of her way to smile, greet you by name, is both very professional and competent, and is genuinely kind and courteous, you should not only keep this employee but think about promoting her. Her name is Sara and she works at the Port Colborne store.

I'd pass next time. Take out. Grilled chicken salad with baked potatoe. Lettuce is pretty wilty and a couple of little rotten pieces, and it includes brown the base of the head.

The new ownership has lead to a drastic decline in quality for both customers and employees. The majority of the old staff was either fired or forced to quit by having their shifts replaced by a flooded roster of people on work permits (owners are only responsible for 40% of their salary). The ownership is arrogant and unprofessional, difficult to communicate with and overall very difficult to deal with from both an employee and a customer standpoint. Please refrain from going to this restaurant.

Harvey’s in Port Colborne is better than ever! The restaurant is spotless, and you can tell the new management takes pride in keeping everything clean and well-organized. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better.
The burgers are fresh, juicy, and cooked to perfection, exactly how a great burger should be. And the poutine? Absolutely the best in town! The fries are crispy, the gravy is rich, and the cheese curds are perfectly melted—pure comfort food at its finest.
If you haven’t been to Harvey’s in a while, now is the time to go. With fresh ingredients, great service, and a warm atmosphere, this location is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!!!
