“This was our first time at the lock, some friends suggested we try their pizza. First of all the air conditioner was so high it felt like it was going to snow. The service was slow but friendly, to be fair it was quite busy and so we felt that was a good sign about the food. We ordered 3 pizzas and we'd rate the pizza a 6/10. Most likely won't go back. Gave 4 stars for overall rating because our server was sweet but gave service a 3 because while we were eating our food that took 45 minutes, there was another server who was stacking chairs and spraying tables, not the best atmosphere to eat in.”

“My BF & I just moved to Wainfleet 2 months ago & was told about this restaurant from a friend We are now regulars lol! 2 weeks ago we both had the rack of lamb. So delicious & cooked perfectly!! This past Friday we were there again & Carrie ( I hope I got her name right) took care of us as the owners were away on vacation, we both had the steak special it it too was perfect 👌 We highly recommend this restaurant Tracy & Chris”

“Cozy homestyle restaurant with huge breakfast portions for a great price. Cannot beat this value in 2026. The Greek omelet I ate was delicious. My husband was impressed with how much bacon he received with his breakfast. We will definitely be back when in the area next. :)”

“The blizzards we got were good. As expected. They didn't have the newest flavours we wanted to try, but went with our usual flavours . This location is more expensive than other dairy queens. They also do not accept coupons or use the app for offers / points . Apparently it's because they are the second oldest dairy queen still standing and to accept the coupons and offers / app they would need to renovated which would take away their name of the second oldest dairy queen.... it doesn't explain the higher pricing but it does kindof make sense they are trying to keep it original so they don't have all of the upgrades ( it is super cute and retro looking). There is free parking and some benches to sit on .”

“I absolutely love Beyond the Batter. I have been getting cupcakes from them for years and recommend them to all my friends and family. As a photographer, I've taken photos of their cupcakes for assignments, and they are always so perfect! Other than looks, they're always moist and delicious.”

“We were very lucky to be able to get a table for the yearly Fa La La Ladies night at Pie Guys. Although it was busy, and staff were busy prepping for the big event, we had great service. The drinks were an art form, as well as tasty. The food was also very good. They have regular dinner and lunch specials, high teas, and so many baked goods. “We recently returner to port and stopped in a drifter to be welcome be the most fabulous waitress on Friday night. We were regulars for a couple years of Friday night and left the area for a year. It was so nice to be welcomed back with the great customer service we received be (Shelly I believe it said on her apron) I can’t believe she remembered us and even remember our names and what we drank. She is amazing we will definitely be making this our regular Friday night stop again. She made drifters feel like home we are so happy she is still there ❤️”

“This place EASILY has the friendliest service of any fast food place every time we go in there. Last time, dude made us wait a few minutes more cause HE noticed the spring rolls were overcooked and HE made them remake them, then threw some free donuts at us for a extra time. That's only one of many great experiences we've had in there. Appreciate how great their entire staff seems to be.”

“Whenever I visit this Tim Hortons, I always see Mila and Tracie working together on the food station. They make such an amazing team and always seem to know exactly what the other person is doing. They’re friendly, efficient, and keep everything running smoothly, even when it’s busy. They always have smiles on their faces and make the restaurant feel so welcoming.
I also happened to see them together at the bank today and they honestly have such a great dynamic that they could pass for a mother and daughter 😉.
Tim Hortons is lucky to have Mila and Tracie. They both provide outstanding customer service, and their teamwork never goes unnoticed. Definitely a five-star experience every time!”

“I came into Tim Hortons today at about 4:15pm. I was greeted with an amazing young woman whose name (hilariously) was “Goat Sauce”. She was friendly and gave me service with a smile.
