Steele and Clover Public House

I hardly ever give reviews on line but feel I need to do this one. We came in from Hamilton on a Sunday to spend some time at Canal Days and were looking for a restaurant for lunch. Most places we looked at were closed on Sundays or only open for dinner. This turned out to be a blessing for us as we discovered the Steele and Clover! What a lovely eatery! The food was great, the young lady serving us was perfect, the decor so quaint and interesting. We are eggplant parm addicts and this was one of the best we have ever had. We will never look at another restaurant again in Port Colborne. This little gem is our place now! Thank you so much to the chef and staff.

As a realtor I travel all over, got a stunning condo unit to sell right on the Canal here in Port Colborne, decided to check out the local bar. I ordered the Irish stew which I really enjoyed. The bartender was super nice and she was taking her time to chat with the customers. You can tell the locals come here for good food, drinks, and most importantly, for some great company. I paid for an older gentleman’s drinks and he was very appreciative, and wanted to buy me a beer. Great crowd great people. Love the feeling of community and that small town feel. I would recommend this pub if you’re visiting, everyone has a great attitude and everyone is approachable and nice. Enjoy the food and drinks and the people! You’re welcome in advance lol.

I’ve been here many times as I live in port. Today we went for French fries and a drink. The waitress was very cold. Came maybe 2x. Waited about 20-25mins for fries and it wasn’t busy. Fries were obviously sitting as they weren’t even hot. Not impressed today. I guess It’s an evening drinking bar not so much food. Also if the waitress doesn’t like her job or like people maybe look into something else.

We were in the area and this pub came up on Google. Took a chance to visit. So glad we did! Service was excellent and attentive. Loved that we waited for our food. I like a place that makes food to order and not pre packaged! Absolutely everything came out hot and fresh! One of the best fish and chips I’ve had in years. The cooks were awesome with our young niece who couldn’t make her mind up! Thank you! We will definitely be back! Ohhh please grab the butter tarts to go! Wowwwwww!

Ordered takeout. The fries were raw, like biting an apple with gravy on it. Worst $50 ever spent.

I have been a couple of times and was not impressed. I decided to give it a go one more time and I can say I was totally impressed. My co-worker and I came in for lunch and we were the first lunch orders of the day. The cook came out and asked if we would mind if he could be a little creative with our meals. I ordered the fish and chips and he brought out a fish sandwich made with focaccia bread. It was to die for. My coworkers burgers has also amazing and juicy. Not dry at all. Will be back again!!

I have been going to the Steele and Clover Public House for over 1 yr. The lady that works behind the bar is Debbie.
She is extremely courteous to me .She is extremely polite. I always have steak on a bun which is the best I have ever had.
Debbie is very customer service focused and a great asset to the business.
I look forward to going there soon.
