We visited the Smokin Buddha for the first time today. We tried the udon soup and the Mongolian Beef bowl. Both were delicious. The service was great. Will definitely be back.

My wife's family visited Port Colborne for stay cation. This restaurant was highly rated and we wanted to try it out.

There was a long wait for table as we were a party of 11. We told the server we can take separate tables to make it quicker. We still ended up waiting about 30-40 minutes.

The restaurant decor is nice and thoughtfully decorated. There are antique bicycles hanging from the ceiling and Thai inspired paintings on the wall. The dining table had some scrapbook style design under the glass top. It was unique and cool.

We were excited to try the food. My mother-in-law ordered the bulgogi bowl with egg. My wife ordered the Mongolian beef and I ordered the chicken pad thai.

The bulgogi bowl was loaded with fresh cut cucumbers, carrots, green onions. The ginger soy sauce lacked punch of flavors. I do recommend mixing up everything like a bimbimbap.

The Mongolian beef had a orange citrus taste. The beef was tender and it was served with green onions and sesame seeds.

I had the chicken pad thai. The noodles cooked perfectly and there's plenty of chicken, tofu and bean sprouts. There was a hint of spice in this dish.
We also added an order of duck spring rolls. The filling was tasty and spring rolls were big. The only critique I would say is to frie the spring rolls longer to get it crispier.

Overall, the ambiance and service was really good. The food is catered to Western/ Canadian pallets so some may feel the food doesn't feel authentic.

My 1st time being here. Great experience overall. The menu isn't huge but its not small. It's honestly the perfect size for the the restaurant and theme. I had the Pork Gyozas. They were delish. I'm 100% coming back.

Disappointed.
Had my hopes up from a friend of mine who recommended this restaurant.
On Thursday, July 31st there was the Waterfront Supper Market at Crystal Beach. And The Smokin Buddha had a food truck there.
I paid $19 plus tips for the “Korean Bowl”.
It had 7 ingredients total. Pulled pork, kimchi, rice, fresh cucumbers, carrots, green onion and radish.
Basically it looked delicious. It was in a paper plate ~5x8 inches.
1. Pulled pork. Was super salty and dry.
2. The taste of Kimchi was bad! Like rubber and it had a strong bitter taste to it. Not the fermented taste, I am familiar with.
3. Rice is rice.
4. Freshly cut cucumbers.
5. Cut green onions.
6. The cut carrot

Sorry for my previous blow up. Still disappointed in the food tho☹️
