The staff and food were 5 star, I would absolutely recommend that you try the Beamish house for supper and if possible pair it with a play at the Capitol Theatre( a small walk across the parking lot), the perfect date night!

The restaurant next to the city hall has a beautiful building.
I ate at Arthur's pub in Cobourg the day before. Beamish house was 25% more expensive for food that was not near as good. The atmosphere is dreary and the waiter was less than welcoming. I know the locals like it here and every time I go (about once every 5years) I'm left mystified as to why.

Awesome patio in the summer. Not too expensive and huge portions relative to chain restaurants. Repeat customer with or without kids.
Parking: Free parking you need to go to city Hall down the street. Otherwise it is metered close to the Beamish and they do check frequently.
