The greatest part of the Cafe is the one man show who serves you.He is on the money all the time great big line up today and no problem everyone was served with a smile. But now we need to mention the awesome cookies and all the great cheesecakes. Fantastically made sandwiches. Many treats. And if you love your coffee. It is amazing. Another trip to port hope to walk around and enjoy your lunch at Dreamer's.

I have been to dreamers probably around 4 or 5 times and every single time I've been there, busy or dead, it is so dirty. My mom and I went in for a quick treat, and boy did we regret it. The man who took our order had a pretty rude demeanor. He was like that every other time I had visited the Cafe as well. I used to think he was just having a bad day, but now I'm thinking customer service isn't really his calling. When we got our order, we went to sit in the dining area, and if it wasn't so cold out I would have opted to find a spot outside because the tables were filthy. the floor was covered in crumbs and there was mugs and food left behind by previous customers on many of the tables. But I wasn't surprised because it was like that the last few times I had been there too. So at this point, its not really a coincidence.I dont usually leave bad reviews but they werent nice to me, so. The place has potential to be really awesome, but the service and the cleanliness is what's going to make me chose to spend my money someplace else from now on when I'm in Port hope.

Always looking forward to visiting this cafe when I’m in Port Hope. The cookies and the cakes are to die for! The coffee is good too.The ambience is amazing and extremely picturesque. There are only two people working, so it can get busy over the summer weekends, but I feel like it’s worth the wait.

The atmosphere of the cafe was warm and intimate, with windows overlooking Street. I can say that the atmosphere of the cafe was great and the staff was nice. There are many items for sale inside the cafe, which reduces the usable space for arranging tables and chairs. I can also say it was not clean enough! The smell of food filled the whole environment, maybe a hood in the kitchen would be useful. The environment of the kitchen itself was very dirty, I was thinking of ordering more, but after seeing the kitchen environment, I settled for coffee:(

I am always for supporting local businesses, and mostly I go to the local small places. Unfirtunately, for this place the experince was not very good. We went there yesteday for lunch. It took 30 min exacly to get our soup, and it took 55 min to get our sandwiches. Food was good, but the owner was there alone, and the place was full. It was Saturday, the weather was really nice, so it would not be a rocket sicence to check the weather forecast a day or two before, and to calculate and predict so many people to come. The table we were sitting at, was really dirty, crumbs were everywhere, and it was not cleaned between the custimers. The tables are made of glass, and you could see how much dust are on them, they require a good thorough cleaning, as the place itself. Again, the food was fine, but the experience overall is upsetting. I don"t think we will come threre again.

Stopped by Saturday and got the Lobster sandwich along with an Iced Americano and chocolate muffin. Sandwich was great and muffin was a little dry. Total cost was $24 which in my opinion wasn’t worth it. Difficult to find where the menu was and didn’t realize there was a breakfast one until I saw it outside. Cleanliness of kitchen and front where they make coffee was questionable.
