Very yummy food - we ate the teriyaki chicken dinner, California rolls, and veggie tempura. The salad that came with the dinner was so fresh and everything tasted quite delicious! We are from Toronto but stayed in Port Hope for a few nights and we ate at this restaurant 2 nights in a row because we were tired of the greasy pub food and found the food here fresh snd healthy. The young people answering the phone and serving at the counter were very friendly and nice too. We will definitely recommend this place and eat here when in town.

Checked this place out last night and it was GREAT. Best sushi I’ve had outside of Toronto (and honestly beating most places in TO). This is my new favourite spot hands down!

Ordered Sugoi Sushi for dinner and were impressed by the flavours, quality, and generous portions. Little touches matter, and the presentation of the rolls and sashimi show the care they take. Already looking forward to our next Port Hope visit to enjoy another meal from Sugoi.

Hidden Gem in area. Comparable to any good sushi restaurant downtown Toronto that is more traditional. Prices are much better. Portion sizes are generous as well.
Only tried the Sashimi, Dinner Set and one salmon roll. All was really good. High rating on Google is well deserved

i got a dynamite roll and it was 90% fake crab meat, it tasted so “fishy” it was very disappointing. also got a shrimp tempura roll and each piece of shrimp still had the shit sack still in it. i tried it again today in hopes it would be better, but it was exactly the same.
