My mom and I had dinner here and everything was delicious! We were so impressed with the steak dinners. I substituted my potatoes for the truffle fries and it was incredible. The focaccia came fresh out of the oven. We loved the atmosphere, the freshness and flavours of our meals, and we had an amazing server (Rachel). We will be back and highly recommend this little spot in PH!

One of my faves in PH. I just moved here & dined that same night I moved in. And many times after that. Staff is absolutely amazing. Food is delicious & always fresh. Love it & I often bring family & Friends when they visit from out of town. Thanks everyone. See you soon

I booked a table through the week on line for our one year anniversary for Saturday evening. I get a phone call on the Friday before saying they are fully booked do to a part that is booked. This should have been on the website and not allow me to book. This gave me a day to find an opening in one day somewhere else. Not very good
Very small tight restaurant and it was a bit difficult to get to as the Main Street was all closed. I felt like i was in a dungeon. The only good thing was the server. She was very sweet. My drink was horrible. I had a sangria. Not sure how to mess that up but it tasted like just wine and water. Food was not good. My husband had the steak and frites and I had the special which was the sirloin Oscar. Food took 52 minutes from when we ordered. My steak was rare when I ordered it medium. There was blood all over the plate which mixed with the yellow bernaise sauce, so a very unappetizing visual. The steak was on top of the rice so there was blood in the rice. My husband switched steaks with me as a wedding bachelorette party was seated right next to us and it would have been pointless to say anything. His steak was under seasoned and bland. We were both starving so just ate what we could and left. This was an anniversary dinner after a day at the spa and it was very disappointing.
My husband and I recently moved to the area and have been trying places to eat out. The vibe of this place is unique, high end but relaxed. The food and service was top notch and the drinks were delicious. We will definitely be back. It's truly a great date night spot.
A terrific find. Very large portions on the salads and appetizers. Call directly for a reservation because Open Table persistently tells you that there is no availability, and they are wrong. Would highly recommend!
The chef absolutely outdid himself. The food was absolutely fantastic!!
Dietary restrictions: The chef had no problem, making me a sauce for my muscles without wine in it, and it was just delicious exactly what I wanted

First of all, the service we received from the delightful Madison, was very welcoming, attentive, and well-informed. It was a quiet night, but I expect that she is friendly and helpful no matter what the circumstances! It was a birthday treat for my friend who is new to Port Hope and she loved the room design and her meal (Monkfish done South Asian style), as did I (Duck Confit). The menu is compact, as is the wine list, but the Rosé we ordered was excellent and worked for both our dishes, as well as for the very generous and delicious Caesar Salad we shared. The ambience at Twenty Six is that of a tastefully redone warehouse with exposed brick walls, lofty ceilings, original structural beams, and repurposed antiques; balanced by clean, contemporary fittings and a clever wall mural that references Canadian icon, Leonard Cohen. The long bar is inviting and includes a tempting raw bar. The "snug" at the back of the restaurant is made even cozier with a modern fireplace and comfortable couches and chairs. We had a most enjoyable and memorable evening, and we'll be back.

We are from out of town and while in Port Hope we made reservations here as we previously had the best beef tartar ever at Twenty Six. Although they no longer have the tartar we enjoyed our meal nonetheless. Despite our initial disappointment, it was our server Jack (or maybe Jake) who made our experience this time exemplary. He not only had fabulous hair, he was also beyond friendly to two out-of-towers and exuded the small town charm we miss when in Ottawa.

The Twenty Six is a nice little eating lounge but I found the menu to be very limited and a bit pricey. The service was amazing as was the atmosphere but the menu options were few and for the price definitely not outstanding. Dessert however was amazing!!
Parking: But limited in proximity.
Kid-friendliness: Not really a restaurant for kids.
Wheelchair accessibility: Would be difficult but not impossible.

A gem in downtown Port Hope, Ontario, tucked away on Ontario Street. An inviting atmosphere with soaring ceiling, exposed brick and a fireplace. Tables plus a bar with barstools. Friendly competent service and a menu focused on local food ingredients.
We booked a reservation to dine at Twentysix restaurant before our concert last night and were AMAZED! The bartender was phenomenal, super friendly and talented with making cocktails. She was also waiting tables and was super friendly. We ordered the Smoked Caprese Salad for an appetizer and it was delicious! We also ordered the Brisket and Steak Frites - both were so good.We will definitely return when visiting Port Hope! Would definitely recommend this hidden gem to others.

Five stars all around. I called to inquire about hosting an intimate private dinner and was so impressed with Chef Liam that I ended up booking my entire wedding reception at the restaurant. I will update on that experience later this summer. Upon a tour of Twentysix (the newest restaurant) I dined in the social bar and table (their original restaurant) and had the best beef short rib I've ever had. The wine selection was spot on and the cherry on top was the bread pudding dessert and cappuccino. Well done team.
