“Prior to coming here for dinner, I called the restaurant to see if they did all-you-can-eat. They responded that they did not. That’s usually my sign that a sushi restaurant prioritizes quality over quantity. So two of my friends and I decided to go there for dinner to check it out. I’m always looking for great sushi experiences in the Durham region as there are so few in our area. From the cleanliness of the restaurant, to the care they took in decorating to give you an authentic private dining experience, I immediately knew we found a little gem. The food was absolutely stunning in presentation, quality, and flavour. The green tea was special, and the overall experience was something we will remember and keep us coming back. Because it was our first time, we were treated to some extras on the house. You can tell the team at Jinju Sushi was more concerned with our experience than just delivering what we ordered. And we could feel that care. Our server Lee was also so friendly. For reference, we ordered a maki tray, wakame salad (seaweed), shrimp tempura, and some sashimi, with ice cream for dessert. Everything was fantastic. The tempura was especially delicious (soft, crispy, perfectly cooked).

We are severely lacking in high quality sushi (or restaurants for that matter) in Durham Region, so it is important we support those that go the extra mile. Jinju is a relatively new establishment in Port Perry so if you’re in the area, or close and don’t mind a short drive, check these guys out. I can confidently say they are one of the top, if not the top sushi restaurant in this area.”

“Absolutely the most wonderful couple I’ve ever met running this restaurant! I wanted to adopt them as my grandparents! Delicious shawarmas and the atmosphere was so friendly! My 4 kids even felt comfortable and welcomed!”

“Port perry manager Elizabeth is fantastic! I am mask exempt and one of the employees told me to a mask up over my nose! I told her NO. There is mask exemptions for a reason and stores must follow them regardless to what employees or owners feel. Elizabeth read what happened and contacted me immediately. I explained everything to her and she informed me this will be addressed and won’t happen again. She agreed that every customer deserves respect and should be treated fairly without discrimination. I was so shocked and impressed that Elizabeth texted because most companies no a day don’t care! Get out! Or call the cops!. Don’t come back! Thank you Elizabeth for dealing with this employee and making it right to educate her on exemptions! Btw the sub was fantastic as it usually is ! Nice & fresh”

“We've been to Old Flame Brewery multiple times at both locations in NewMarket and Port Perry and we always have a good time with good vibes, really good beer and great service and music. Last night we attended beer and cheese pairing event and we were impressed with Ady's passion and knowledge of all things beer. Having been on previous tours at other breweries Ady's was the most informative and comprehensive, as well as fun. And I should add his crowning attribute is his level of engagement with his customers; it really made the night extra special. Thank you.”

“Hubby and I had lunch here today. We had the Garden Chicken Salad with a scone. This is a lovely place. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The salad was so good. Very fresh and tasty. and topped it off with a delicious cranberry scone. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely return.”

“we ordered takeout food here a few days ago, our food was ready quickly even though they were very busy. We left, got home and realized they had forgotten to include the rice we ordered. I called them and the owner said they realized it was still there in the kitchen but we had left. It was very busy, phone and walk in customers, so we totally understood. They were very apologetic and said could we come back, we were 25 min away, so we couldn’t. They took our number and we went back again, got another dish and our rice. Each time we got food that was delicious and hot, very piping hot and good size portions. We will be back.”

“I came here first a birthday gathering with close friends. Our server Tammy was amazing!!! So friendly. Helpful with all my menu questions. I had the t-bone and it was perfect. Tammy engaged with the entire group and had some laughs with all of us, such a great experience. I would love to see some gluten free dessert options and buns for burgers & sandwiches.”
