My visit to Bamboo Kitchen & Bar was truly enjoyable, even during a hectic rush. The staff handled the busy atmosphere with grace — they were welcoming, attentive, and thoroughly professional. Our food arrived quickly, and the servers went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. It’s rare to see such genuine care and efficiency in a fast-paced setting. Hats off to the entire team for delivering such a high-quality experience — I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I had a wonderful experience at Bamboo Kitchen & Bar, even during an extremely busy time. Despite the rush, the staff remained attentive, courteous, and highly professional. The service was prompt, and the servers were especially kind — regularly checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s impressive to see such consistency and care, even under pressure. A big thank you to the team for maintaining such high standards — I’ll definitely be back!

Have eaten here many times. Unfortunately, after tonight we won't be returning. Why?
- We were seated at a table which was disgustingly sticky. Our hands stuck to the sides of the table.
- We were switched tables and promptly forgotten. We had to flag a waitress down to place our order.
- When ordering I asked if the yellow curry was spicy as I can't tolerate any spice and was advised it was not. Unfortunately, it was 5 alarm spicy when it arrived I had to let them know I couldn't it. While the chef came out and offered to make a new one, I was told that I need to tell them when ordering. I advised the chef I had done this. While the remade curry was less spicy, it was still spicy. I ate a bit and then left the rest.
- 4 of the 6 of us are celiac and cannot eat gluten and were careful to confirm our orders would be made gluten free.
- We were then brought out salad with dressing and unfortunately we could not eat this and had to send it back.
- The non-celiacs did not receive their salad or soup.
- They forgot to make my daughter's order. Everyone's food arrived and my young daughter was sad and hungry as hers just never arrived until we followed-up twice on where it was.
- My young daughter loves sushi but doesn't like sashimi and they have always substituted the sashimi in the salmon lovers for more maki for her and asked for this. When the order came, it hadn't been substituted. As I couldn't eat the curry, I just ate it so it wasn't wasted.
- One order of maki never arrived and we ended up just removing it from the bill.
- We were never provided with chop sticks or gluten free soy sauce. We were short one set of cutlery. We ended up just getting up and getting it ourselves.
- Half the drink orders arrived, the other half never came. We had to follow-up twice.
- They were nice enough to provide containers for the left over food... except the lids were the wrong size.
- We had asked at the time or ordering to have the bill split into two, and were careful to place orders together that would be on each bill. The bill was not split and the waitress had to redo it.

Not a big deal but at this point the entire dinner was such a calamity you couldn't help but laugh at how badly everything went. Once at home, my husband was ill and suspects he was glutened. Unfortunately, we won't be returning and will instead try the other sushi restaurant in town and the new thai express.

Did a take away, Staff helping our order was nice. It took 15-20 minutes for the order.
The shrimp pad thai was a disaster too watery, can’t taste the tamarind nor the fish sauce and the noodles were too soft. The shrimp was tasteless. We had to throw it out and we never throw out food it was that bad.
The beef broccoli was palatable but also the same not up to par and one will need a bit of soy sauce which the restaurant didn’t include any. We are used to take away having everything thrown in ie soy sauce and hot sauce. I paid $40.57 with one rice order.

Friday Dec 6th. Salmon wasn’t fresh today! I was chewing through everything- nothing was buttery like normal, the miso was a little salty- had to water down :( , the rolls weren’t closed properly (which is becoming consistent thing lately). Not impressed with the food today! & My tonsils are also creating so much phlegm and that’s a sign something was off …maybe the salmon for it was end of day

Came back for dine-in, just as yummy!

Bamboo is great! 5/5
Ordered the salmon lover. A little pricey to me! But I guess prices have raised depending on area as well. (A salmon lovers is 100% under $30 in Scarborough)

The wasabi was spicy, the soya wasn’t salty, the salmon was buttery! I enjoyed everything .. a lot !!

Based on preference: the salmon was cut WAY too big, quite a mouthful- I had to cut them down, the rolls were also too big for me!-cut those in half as well. Not a fan of rolls that aren’t completely closed/ when the seaweed just touches (see photos)!
I also don’t like my salad coming dressed, and the dressing had no taste- I think they were going for a light miso mayo maybe, I usually love salads that come with my sushi, not this one.. sorry, salad was also bitter.

Will be back for more. Thank you so much!

Ya so if your a local you might be having a experience...however your not it's an illusion...miss soup...cold...sashimi not fresh and that's a huge problem...pad Thai not good at all...the frozen cosco calamari that's on the menu as fried calamari is breaded frozen calamari confirmed by mask wearing waitress...nasty to say the least...the over priced Ceasars were good...what can I say...wish I had gone elsewhere...now after mildly complaining/commenting to waitress re bad food...no comp...yaa that's arrogant...no suprise...never again and I suggest you don't either.

Visited restaurant for first time. Ordered soft shell crab tempura, salmon lovers, tuna sushi, dragon roll and salmon sashimi; started off meal with miso soup and salad. Food came fairly quickly it was good but bothered my throat which usually happens when food is not fresh.
Will try again at another time other than close to closing
