Went here for dinner - chicken balls, lo mein, chop suey, fried rice, general tso, egg rolls. Most things were flavoured nicely however we would pass on the chop suey and egg rolls as we didn’t enjoy them. Not a lot of filling in the egg rolls at all. Everything cost $98 before tip.

I called ahead to order to eat in, super friendly service, the food was ready upon arrival was 10 to 15 minutes. I did not purchase a drink but how ever I was offer a glass of water that was very much appreciated! Great for and Great service at not a bad price! I definitely enjoy coming to this restaurant.

Was very pleased with Hong Xin. Overall the food was very good, but also very consistent in terms of flavor, quality and portions. When picking up our food, service was friendly and they even gave us a free dessert. We tried the following... Chicken Fried Rice, Soft Noodles with Beef, Sweet and Sour Pork, Hot and Spicy Shredded Beef and General Tso's Chicken.
We did take out, but they do have some seating if you want to dine in. When we brought the food home, I forgot to take the pictures until after the two of us grabbed our food. If you look at the photos, you can see how much food is still left after two full portions were dispensed.
By far the best Chinese food I've been able to find in this area. Will be going back...

Today was our first time ordering. We were pleased with our dinner for 4 special. One thing we specifically noticed was the freshness of the vegetables. Also something to note, the lady was extremely friendly.

This was by far the best, freshest take-out Chinese we've ever had. The meats were good cuts and tender, the noodles and wontons were perfectly cooked, the veggies were so fresh and lightly cooked. The flavors were bright and distinct, not drowned out by tons of soy sauce like some places do. The orange chicken actually tasted like orange. Great spice in the hunan beef. The wonton soup had rich flavors and lots of great wontons. If your preference is mushy veggies soaked in tons of salty heavy sauce, this may not be for you.

Used to love this place, old owners were AWESOME. New owners sound like theyre disinterested in even serving a single customer. Bad customer service and horrible hours, how is a working class citizen supposed to get take out from a restaurant that closes at 8pm on a friday?! You dont open till noon! I think being loyal to people doesnt matter anymore. Shame that its gone downhill SO FAST as ive eaten here for the last 10+ years. Also the price of their noodles went from 17.95 to 19.95 in THREE WEEKS TIME. Insanity. Edit for the owner ; you really expect me to believe your prices never rose when ive been coming there for a decade? Get a grip. Those noodles were 16.95 early 2024 when TAX WAS STILL IN EFFECT.

we ordered takeout food here a few days ago, our food was ready quickly even though they were very busy. We left, got home and realized they had forgotten to include the rice we ordered. I called them and the owner said they realized it was still there in the kitchen but we had left. It was very busy, phone and walk in customers, so we totally understood. They were very apologetic and said could we come back, we were 25 min away, so we couldn’t. They took our number and we went back again, got another dish and our rice. Each time we got food that was delicious and hot, very piping hot and good size portions. We will be back.

Food was amazing. We got food first time there on Friday. The lady was super nice. We got our food to go. We got a dinner for two. Amount of food you get for the price is awesome we were so full. We had a 30 min drive home from there food was still hot. No complaints. Really liked the chicken balls here. Most places mostly batter bit chicken here opposite. Can dine in too. We didn’t cause we didn’t want to delay them closing. Will happily eat here again hands down new favourite place. The food came super fast too like 10 minutes tops.

Ordered a special dinner for 4, sides of Cantonese Lo Mein, Chicken wings and wonton soup. 115$ and my family of 5 barely ate any of it, because it was so awful. The Cantonese Lo Mein was simply the beef vegetable (that we chose for our special) dumped on the noodles. The pork was mushy and so incredibly soggy. Rice was bland and crunchy. Won tons in the soup were slimy and looked freezer burnt. The chicken wings had the tips still on them, so maybe 6 fit in the box. Chicken chop suey was decent. I called the restaurant before posting this to let them know and was greeted by an irrate lady (I shouldve been the mad one) who lectured, yelled, and complained that I should've order a dinner for 5...(I mentioned that i have 4 adults and a 6 year old eating and we couldn t even eat 1/4 of it.) She did ask what they could do, and I suggested I bring back all the food and get 50% back. She didnt go for that. As I was explaining that I was hanging up because I was hungry, disappointed and our argument was pointless, a man took the phone, started talking and yelled that I wasn t welcomed back and to not go there. Phew!
Avoid!! I paid a pretty steep price, and will gladly either go to Bamboo or into Oshawa for chinese food. Pray we arent sick tomorrow.
Best rice, best cheese wontons and amazing service.

Treating the in-laws to some take-away while we visit the area. We ordered sesame chicken, which was wonderful, and some Hunan beef veg, fried rice and chowmein. It was all very good. Thoroughly enjoyed the warm welcome and joyful service.
