Visited for the first time recently and loved the experience. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our food (coconut curry mussels, butter chicken and the potato gnocchi) plus the drinks we had (new fashioned, smoked old fashioned, blueberry sour and the blackberry bourbon smash). The staff working was fantastic and treated us well. We live over an hour and a half away but will definitely be back.

Our lunch was disappointing. We ordered the hot beet salad with trout and it arrived with no beets. We asked our server about it and while she brought us each a bowl of beets they were cold. I've eaten here before and had great meals but this meal did not live up to my expectations.

I have been coming here for years I know marwan personally and I know he puts his heart and soul into his food and his restaurant. This is 100% the best place to eat in port perry if you are looking for a unique and friendly atmosphere.

The food and the atmosphere at this place is amazing but they never answer their phone.. it doesn't matter what time of day it is they never answer and then you will go in there and it will be dead minus one couple so I'm not sure what that is about but you have lost out on my orders over a dozen times . That's honestly hundreds of dollars I've spent else where .
We came from driving in the area at 2:00pm to Port Perry looking for a nice spot to eat on a Sunday afternoon. We had a nice welcome and made our order. Of course we were hungry, but the food took 45 minutes to get to our table. After 40 minuets we asked a waitress how long does one usually wait. She said 30 minutes. The food finally came and was fine, not particularly wonderful. We asked again after we ate if the wait was usual. We were told that it was because a lot of people has all arrived near the same time. Could be. But we'd rather not take the chance next time.

My wife and I spent the afternoon in Port Perry doing some shopping and enjoying a lovely summer-like day at the end of September. We were a bit peckish so we walked along historic Queen Street and happened upon Marwan's Global Bistro. We decided to give it a try and we are SO glad that we did.
As soon as we entered the Bistro we were greeted with a smile and a warm Hello! We instantly felt comfortable and welcomed.
Our server, Kat, sat us at a roomy table for two. We explained that this was our first visit and we entrusted her to help us find menu items that would be appropriate for a mid-afternoon snack.
We ended up ordering the Grilled Halloumi salad and the Middle eastern dip trio to share between the two of us.
The salad was amazing. The dressing perfectly complemented the bacon and cashews. The amount of dressing was just right and the serving size was perfect for our needs. The dip trio came with two large naan breads, grilled to perfection and cut into quarters, so no ripping was necessary. The dips were perfectly seasoned and the baba ghanouj was made without mayonaise which reminded me of the dip my late mother used to make. The presentation on the plate was really well done, making a simple appetizer appealing to our eyes as well as our mouths.
Our server, Kat, was amazing. She was efficient, super friendly, attentive and listened to us before recommending items on the menu. Kat, and the amazing food, are the reasons we will soon be returning to Marwan's for a proper meal, even though we are a 45 minute highway drive from Port Perry.
Based on the number of tables that had "reserved" signs on them this afternoon, I recommend calling ahead if you plan on coming for dinner on the weekend.

Fantastic service and food every time we go. The butter chicken and Thai red curry were amazing. Everyone is so sweet and attentive. The chocolate with the latte was a nice touch. Already thinking about what to get at our next visit. Can’t wait to come back.
