I called ahead to confirm the store's hours during a long weekend. She said 10 p.m. I went at 8 p.m., and the open sign was lit. The doors were locked, and the employee was there and signalled that they were closed.
Dhara was excellent. She made our subs and nachos very delicious!
Very limited meat and cheese portions, less than any other location. They have a scooper but the staff or atleast 2 of them keep shaking it to reduce the quantity. There's another subway nearby, worth the drive to just go there. They also don't label the subs so if you are ordering more than one then make sure you have a good memory 😆
I am still horrified by behaviour of the staff working there today. I stopped in with my teenagers on a road trip and we needed to get rid of some of the garbage in our car. There were no garbages in the plaza parking lot so we had no choice but to bring in three pop cans and two napkins and place them into the garbage inside the restaurant on our way to order. There were no customers in the store and it was 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon. The woman working there was sitting in the customer seating area using her phone. She yelled out to me to tell me that the garbage wasn't for that and they were not responsible for it. I told her I walked the whole length of the plaza from Dollarama and there were no garbages outside, perhaps speak to the building management company about that. She then told me that I should take it elsewhere, take it to Walmart.
Clearly she wasn't interested in serving us so we went for lunch elsewhere. I did feel terrible for the other person working there. She isn't going to get any tips when her colleague is chasing away customers. If anyone has a direct line to the franchise owner or store manager I would love to chat with them. My family gives a lot of business to Subway and my workplace has a multi-million dollar account with Subway. We generally have an excellent customer service experience and we are polite customers.
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a sub shop in all my years! We ordered a Sweet Onion Teriyaki Rice bowl. (Was more of a chicken salad). Barely any rice or chicken! Pictures to follow.
To top that off she just through things on a sub. No care for any quality or safety! Jalapeno peppers all stack in 1 spot to a point i had to ask to spread them out. If you had a bite where all the peppers were you would blister your whole mouth!(comparable to eating a handful of peppers).
Disgusting rush and nobody else was in the place!
My friend who has horrible anxiety parked in the only available parking spot to go to Nice One Nails AND THEN TO GET A SUB! Was interrupted by a subway employee (Felma) who SCREAMED at her to park somewhere else. My friend who has trouble going into stores alone was so upset she called me in tears afraid to go to her appointment because of this woman. I will NEVER be going to this establishment…. The lack of customer service amongst people these days is at an all time low and as someone who’s worked in the customer service industry my whole life this is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable behaviour. Do better.
Be sure not to do anything after parking your car in front of subway, before getting your lunch from subway. Employees will watch you and wait for you to step out of your vehicle to be able to run out to parking lot to abruptly tell you know that’s not for you to park, that it’s for their customers? Not you. That you planned to be within 15 minutes of being parked there. Absolutely ignorant experience and customer service.

Yalda is an amazing worker. She made the best sub for me in 2 minutes. I told her I was late for work and she hustled to help me make it on time. Truly the best!

Came before the renovation and all the workers were speedy and great, after the renovations everything went downhill all the old workers were replaced, the workers clearly don’t care about the people waiting in line and they don’t make the sub good anymore.

ordered a mobile order at 9:35 with confirmation and everything when google AND the app stated the store is open till 10. I got there and all the lights were off and employees were standing outside. i pulled up and asked to make sure it was closed as well as ask what i should do about my mobile order, and employee outside seemed irritated that i would even ask if they were open and that “they always close at 9”. i’ve now gotten charged for that mobile order when it said cancelled yesterday, if you are closing at 9, update hours online please and thank you so nobody else tries to pickup dinner to find that they are closed. pic shows that i picked up sandwich, I went back up to the other subway in port perry and bought another there.

I placed an online order for my family at 9:17pm tonight (July 11, 2024). The payment went through on my credit card and I received a confirmation of order from Subway for pick up at 9:45pm. At 9:37pm, I received an alert that my order was cancelled. I drove over to the store and arrived at 9:45pm and the lights were off and the store was closed. I can see that not honouring the hours of operation is a recurring issue with this store. Definitely a poor way to conduct business and fail at customer service! The Water street location was still open when I arrived at 9:50pm and the young gentleman was kind enough to make me a sub for my kid. If you want Subway, go to this location instead!
