Decided to try again today with some different menu options. They were out of potatoes, so fries were completely out of the question. The Philly steak sandwich was about half the size I was expecting for the price (seriously - it's $10 and all you get is a little burger bun with some meat and a few other fillings in it), the onion rings were mostly grease and breading, and the boneless chicken wings were actually pretty decent. It took nearly a half hour to be served, though. Given the price and the wait time, I feel like there are better places to spend both my money and my time.I'm giving 2 stars because I'm thinking maybe both of my experiences here were at suboptimal times (once before the summer season started, and today on Labour Day, towards the end of the day), so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. However, after seeing some of the other recent reviews, it seems like my experience was not at all atypical. I don't think I'll be coming back to this place again.

Would not recommend going here! We went here during a festival weekend and got 2 smash burger combos. It took almost 30 minutes to get our food, only to be disappointed at the quality and portion of it. The price was almost $50 for 2 burgers, poor fries and a small pop. The food portion was very small considering how much it cost. I ate 4 fries and got sick from them being cooked in day old fryer oil and had burnt bits from the fryer all over them. The service we got was outrageous! We were talked to so rudely and with no gratitude what so ever!! I felt very offended by the way we were treated. Still can't get over how poorly we were treated and how sick we got from the food!

Went for an epic pouting. I understand they don't out cheese or gravy on their specialty poutines, so I asked if I could have cheese and gravy then the fun stuff and that I'd pay extra. Flat out no. I repeated myself, I'll pay extra for it, she said no. I walked away. Extremely poor attitude and service. Will never get my business and I hope you don't go there too. Not my first bad experience, but it'll be my last

Pretty disappointing. The fries weren't cooked enough, so the poutine was not very good, almost15 minute wait for the food with no lineup and the price was pretty steep for what we got. I wouldn't go again to be honest.

I wish I checked the reviews & ratings before eating here. I got the chicken inferno & the beach box & all of it was inedible. After only a few bites my stomach hurt. The box of chicken was too oily & bitter & tasteless. The chicken in the poutine felt like it was a month old, super chewy & nasty. Ontop of that SUPER overpriced. I spent over $62 dollars & the food went right into the trash. Save your money folks & don’t let their pictures fool you.

Absolutely not the fault of the person working but management having only one person scheduled working Saturday the 2 weeks Mackie's is closed. 35 mins for a cheeseburger?! What we're you thinking have one staff member at lunch on a Saturday ? The reviews seem to say it all for this place.... badly managed!
