Little slice of heaven in the forest.

Banquet Burger was 10/10, fries come unseasoned (it's up to you, wish I knew) 7/10.

Took a while for order, maybe understaffed, lots of locals hangout. Will try again, worthy of another go since Burger was tasty, smokey fire and antiques were nice.

I have been here 3 or 4 times now, each time I'm just as disappointed as the last. Waited over an hour for two poutines and 3 sausages on one of our visits. The poutine is not authentic, they use shredded marble cheese, not cheese curds. Should be illegal to call it a poutine. The other times it was over 40 minute wait for similar orders. Last time we went we ordered 3 burgers and 3 small "poutines" and it came to $75 which we thought was overpriced for the quality, their portions are decent size though. The servers are not friendly and the food in my opinion is not good. Although, I have not tried their breakfast food. I've made the mistake too many times, I will not be returning in the future. I gave their atmosphere 3 stars as they do have some cool/old posters and decor to look at while you wait... and you'll have plenty of time to check it out with the wait times.

Delicious burgers, the place is very nice, the cabin where they prepare them and as a restaurant and bathrooms they have a train car; gardens and typical Canadian chairs (from the east); 100 percent recommended

What a great place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. We stopped by on our way back from Port Sidney Beach, and had a fantastic experience. They were about to close, because it was Sunday, and we didn't know they were closing earlier. However, they took our order. Victoria was so nice, courteous, very efficient and fast, taking into consideration that we were a party of 5, and they were getting ready to close. The hot dogs and fries were so great, as well as the poutine. Also, that gorgeous vintage decoration is so great! We took a lot of pics. We caught up with the owner, John Collier, and had a very nice chat with him about the place and its history while enjoying our food outdoors. Thank you Victoria, thank you John for a very pleasant experience, hope we can come back soon!

My experience wasnt exactly what I expected, I still give 5 stars to this place.
I am vegetarian when the server took my order I did specify to get western omelette without bacon, however the chef didn’t understand the server’s message and it seemed like there was a bit of misunderstanding. They ended up putting sausage in my omelette. The server was extremely apologetic and quickly got me another meal. Didn’t charge me for the food.
The fries were extremely good! Overall was a good experience despite the mishap.

When you're away from the city and think you'd never be able to eat Keto, or diet friendly foods; you'd be surprised that these little places would accommodate. We asked for one of our burgers to have a lettuce wrap as opposed to a bun; and they delivered.

The food was great, tasty and freshly made. The location looks a little dated, but all in all well worth the stop.

Waited over 45 minutes for a hotdog and BLT... the girl taking orders was rude when we asked about when the food would be ready, despite there being very few customers. Quality was okay when it came.

Very irked that I was prompted to leave a tip when we placed our order and did so - next time I will wait until after I have been served because this doesn't deserve a tip.

The snow blower is cool but we won't be going back.

Food was quite good, very large portions. The lady serving us was nice, but the service was really slow. We ordered 2 cheese burger combos and I'm not sure if they forgot about our order or what, but it took well over 40 mins to recieve the food. I went to see what was taking so long and the lady scrambled into the kitchen to get the food.
I recall the couple before us also asking when their food would be ready. So I assume they had waited a bit too. It didn't seem very busy at the time, so doesn't make sense why it took so long. Can't say how many cooks there are though.
In general would I come back? Probably not. The wait time killed it for me. It was recommended to us by friends, thats why we went to give it a go.
