We ordered a double cheeseburger, fried pickerel and chips, chowder, steak, and a lobster roll. The prices were a bit too high, likely due to the tourist-heavy crowd and the fact that the restaurant is only open from summer to fall. A small cup of chowder was $18, more expensive than what I’ve had in downtown Toronto. The $44 lobster roll was delicious but quite small, and it came with a mini bag of Lay’s chips that you could probably find at a dollar store. The food tasted great overall, but the atmosphere was average, and the chairs were uncomfortably cold. The friendliness of the staff really added to the experience, though! As others have mentioned, the food took a while to come out, but it was still manageable.

My 4th time visiting but was disappointed with the porterhouse steak. Was supposed to be 45oz for $150 which was sharable for 4 people but what came out was hardly enough for 2. Left feeling we got a terrible value. Avoid the steak! The sides were small for the price (salad, slaw, chips). The seafood we ordered was received well (snow crab, pickerel). Stick to the seafood.

Went for a private event (wedding), and we were absolutely spoiled, with the food, drinks and service. They did everything to make it such a cozy and memorable experience for the guests. The food was delicious!

Came for lunch , riding our bikes from Sandbanks Provincial Park. The food was amazing, along with the presentation and variety. The staff are so accommodating. What a great place to just sit back and enjoy inside or outside on the patio. Well done team.
Dietary restrictions: There is vegetarian items as well as a tentative understanding of allergies.

We absolutely loved having our rehearsal dinner at Sand and Pearl! Everything from the staff, the food, and the atmosphere was perfect. They made the start of our wedding weekend truly special. Our guests couldn't stop raving about all the food and drinks. From the start, communicating with Nicole was easy and stress-free. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an intimate and memorable dining experience!

I just tried to order two Chowders for take out and the kitchen said it was to difficult and would only serve me if I dined in.
Although the service was friendly, it was unprofessional and slow. We had to wait a lengthy time to get our food after waiting a long time to order. 45 minutes after we ordered we were told something we ordered was not available. We were not asked if we wanted additional drinks while we waited approximately 80 minutes for food, all of which was easy to prepare (e.g. shrimp cocktail, chowder that would already be prepared). Tables that came in 45 minutes after us got their food (hot food that would take more time to prepare) just after we got our food. To top it off, we waited 10 minutes after our food was finished before a server came by to ask if we were done. No apologies were provided. There was no recognition of how long we were waiting for food. As a table of three, it appears the larger tables were prioritized and there was no care or concern for how long we had to wait. I would not be writing this review if we had just received a simple acknowledgement and apology. Consistent with this attitude, when I left a much smaller tip than normal, no one asked if everything had been ok. Perfect strategy to alienate your customers. I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this place.

Honestly this has nothing to do with food. But this is my second attempt trying to go to the restaurant and having reservations and the restaurant doesn't communicate that they are not opening until 3pm or closed for the season. Don't alloy people to book reservations if you aren't opening. Or at least communicate that you are cancelling your reservation for lunch. Very poor communication. We received no phone call or email saying that things hand changed, otherwise I wouldn't have any reason to write this review . Had reservation for 3 people on Sunday at 12 (see photo attached) We had no missed calls on the day or prior and no email letting us know.
Good food with great service. However, we think it is over priced for a diner setting restaurant. For a $150 porterhouse, the size is good, but I would expect for that price, I would have perhaps some specialty salt or sides that comes with it. They also have good oysters, but again they are a bit over priced, perhaps it’s the location.

It's a scam at this price, service and environment. $30 for 4 large but standard shrimp. Not even respect: Bottle of wine served in a Spiderman bucket.

Overpriced and disappointing. We were looking forward to Sand & Pearl for our last dinner in PEC as we all enjoy raw oysters and were pleased to see some decent seafood options and kids items as well. The $21 Caesar was bland, though garnished impressively, and special peach/basil marg had no flavour. Oysters were good, a couple weren’t super fresh and felt a bit off as they went down. Small portions of mignonette and hot sauce were served in paper cups that barely stayed together. I’m not sure how a seafood place messes up the most basic of seafood classics, but the mussels came out on a plate with the fires on top. Not in a bowl, covered with a second for the empty shells. Mussels were cold and the fries were soggy; not even a full pound for $27. Had to request a bowl for empty shells, was given a small side plate, had to request a spoon for the sauce and was given a teaspoon. By the time the kids got 1/2way through their burgers (that weren’t cooked all the way through), the 3rd server we had since our arrival finally came by so we asked for the bill. Won’t be back and won’t recommend.
