First time in base31 commissary. Mr J made my birthday extra special today. Ordered the brisket its very tender and tasty! Never had these good for a while. Beans were amazing and had a sample of the ribs as well. All very well done. Definitely worth the trip to base31 in picton.

The beef ribs went available grab them.
Everything else is always available. Usually the ribs. are consistently delicious sometimes last week he was like eating Barbie bar and ribs in Montreal, which are most unique rib # taste in a rib. Paragraph your brisket and all the fixings are delicious. It’s too bad. It’s only available in season at base 31
Don’t miss it.

What a great outing to Smoking J’s BBQ. So hard to pick one dish, so the sample platter is the way to go. Excellent service & great advice. Grab a craft beer at the commissary and you’re good as gold! Delicious.

Had a hankering for BBQ on a Thursday in PEC… ended up at Smoking J’s up at the base. Happy I did. Damn fine brisket, ribs and slaw. The ribs were especially delicious. Also got a couple wings thrown in as a taster - should a bought a pound! Really tasty. Some really good BBQ sauce on the side topped it all off. BBQ ain’t cheap but J’s is well worth it. Happy to have him within 10 minutes of my house. Can’t wait til next time. (Btw, most of his stuff is GF if you’re looking)

Went to Picton just for Smoking J’s BBQ and it was so worth the visit!!
Had the Brisket Poutine which was super delicious. Thin cut crispy fries with delicious brisket smothered in gravy and cheese curds. So yummy.
Took home the ribs and the brisket and both were outstanding!! Both were of course smoked and really delicious! 😋
My absolute favourite though were the baked beans. That is the best I’ve ever had. So delicious!! This is a must have!!
Didn’t mention the coleslaw. It was also really good. Thin cut and perfect taste.
Everything offered at J’s is perfectly the best tasting food you’ll have. Looking forward to a return visit. Can’t wait! 😋😋😋
