A Hidden Gem in Trenton – A Must-Visit!

I had the pleasure of dining at The Golden Valley Restaurant in Trenton, ON, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish.
For appetizers, I had the spinach dip and garlic bread with cheese. The spinach dip was absolutely phenomenal — creamy, fresh, and bursting with flavor. It came served with both pita bread and chips, and I can honestly say it was one of the best spinach dips I’ve ever had. The garlic bread with cheese was perfectly baked, offering the right balance of crispiness and melt-in-your-mouth goodness.

For the main course, I opted for the veggie pizza, and it was just as impressive. The pizza dough was fresh and perfectly crisp, while the pizza sauce was made from scratch and had a vibrant, rich flavor that paired wonderfully with the fresh toppings.

Beyond the food, the ambiance at The Golden Valley is truly unique. The restaurant has these gorgeous bronze accents that give it a warm, inviting feel. It really does make you feel like you’ve stepped into a “golden valley”—a relaxing and special atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Trenton.

Me and my spouse reserved the small side room in the dining area and had a mystery amount of extra family guests meeting us. Kind of a mini reunion. It wound up working out perfectly from my perspective thanks to the great server and front staff. Thank you!!

Very kind staff and waiters. Food just takes too long to come out. We ordered 3 mains and it took about 40 minutes for it to all come out. Food was alright, they do have a very nice Caesar Salad though. Too expensive though for what you get. The quality of the food was a little underwhelming.

Exceeded my expectations

Really great staff and wonderful food and lots of parking. The prime rib comes highly recommended, as does the lasagna.
The restaurant is in need of another update. I have eaten there before many many years ago and the decor is old and tired and is the same as it was back in the 1990's. Now has peeling wallpaper and worn chairs, however...
They had a good selection of beer and wine both local and imported and excellent desserts. Coconut cream pie and Chocolate Almond torte were definitely a hit! We will definitely be going back, regardless of the decor.

We celebrated mom's 90th birthday today at Golden Valley. There were about 30 of us and our waiter was amazing. He was so nice and did such a fantastic job. The food was delicious. Thank you so much. We had a wonderful experience.

We celebrated my Mom’s 90th birthday today at the Golden Valley and everything went amazingly well. We were a large group and Peter was our server. He was friendly, entertaining and so accommodating. He got all orders right and the food was delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant for family celebrations. Thanks so much for making Mom’s day special!
