Covernotes is one of my favourite coffee shops in Richmond Hill. The ambiance is phenomenal. They are also conveniently located in the downtown area.

Super coffee shop. The food is maybe a little bit pricey, but it is sooooo nice and refreshing to have in the neighborhood an independent shop different from the regular mall we always see.

This cafe is the ultimate trifecta: incredible portions, unbeatable prices, and top-notch quality – all served up with a side of stellar service from the amazing staff! Seriously, where else can you find such generous portions of delicious food at prices that won't make you do a double-take? Plus, the staff, they’re not just friendly – they're the cherry on top of an already amazing experience, going above and beyond to make you feel like family. So if you're looking for a dining destination that ticks all the boxes – big portions, great prices, top-notch quality, and fantastic staff – look no further. This cafe has it all, and then some!
Cosy coffee shop, limited space to sit I wish time limit for sitting so more people have chance to enjoy dine in

Love this cafe!!! Creamy and rich lattes and delicious sandwiches. The staff is so amazing too.. They’re super nice and welcoming and always greeting you with a smile. It’s a very popular cafe amongst the locals, so it can get busy specially during lunch time. But I’ve never had a difficult time finding a table because the tables clear up pretty quickly.. just a few min wait! I’ve never left disappointed, always a pleasurable visit. Thank you COVERNOTES! ❤️

I’ve been going here since High school and it’s always been busy, that’s a given. They’ve recently or maybe not so recently added the 90 minute seating limit during their busier hours. That’s totally reasonable! However my issue was the constant fear and pressure anyone would feel to leave. The customer service is great and they tell you very politely about this rule, but they need to stop staring you down hoping you’ll leave. I maybe spent $40 here because I kept buying something every hour so I wouldn’t have to be asked to leave. First of all, I should not have to so that, it is not my fault if it’s busy and people are waiting to sit. You cannot study here as a student like before, and frankly the coffee is slowly becoming tasteless. I had a croissant and it was so dry…obviously I am not gonna ask for my money back so I just threw it out. The sandwiches are super overpriced now and I get it, it’s the economy, but this placehas definitely downgraded in quality since 2019. Don’t get me wrong everyone is nice, but I shouldn’t have to fear sitting down to do work, and it doesn’t matter if they say to take your time, because that stress is still on you. Cannot wait for the outdoor patio to open, unless they wanna kick me out from there too! Disappointed in covernotes!
