KIBO Sushi House - Leslie

Ordered Unagi rice, tasted good but fish was undercooked, while I understand it’s sushi restaurant, the bones in the unagi is still sharp and jagged, cut the inside of my mouth. Told the waitress this, showed her the blood on the napkin and bones, waitress said ok, thanks for telling me, and walked off, no explanation, no apology, no comp, nothing. Still left a tip (for the other food, atmosphere) but won’t likely visit again.

The food is good and the service is good. The only downside is that the restaurant is quite small, so the space between the tables feels a bit tight.

Tried takeout from Kibo Sushi and I was honestly impressed! 🍣✨

I ordered two different sushi rolls (don’t remember the exact names 😅), and both were so good. One had mango, which gave it a fresh and slightly sweet twist—I really loved that one. The other one was creamy, rich, and super tasty.

Everything tasted fresh and well-made—perfect for a takeout night. Definitely craving it again!

Yesterday we went to other location (north york) of KIBO & it was really good.

Today we went to this location with more friends but our experience wasn’t good at all. We had two kids & the lady who served us couldn’t provide with the high chair & she was rude. Food was also worse than the last location. They didn’t even had a hot sauce.

If anyone wants to try KIBO, north York location is much better.

Delivery pickup orders around dinner time are unbelievably delayed. Waited for more than 30 minutes past the pick up time. Party behind me waited for ~40 minutes.

Presentation and portion is great.

We tried to order the maki/sushi/sashimi platter. It included shrimp sushi but I have a family member with an allergy to shrimp. They wouldn’t let us replace it with any other roll or sushi. Any other sushi location would have been accommodating. But instead, the lady in the phone just hung up on us. Incredibly disrespectful.
