Lee Brothers BBQ offers a range of Sichuan dishes, including recommended options like dipped tripe and spicy pepper sausage. Prices are good, and the spice level can be adjusted to taste. The food is flavorful and delicious, with the right amount of spice. Be prepared for a wait on weekends, but flavors like the sweet and sour sauce on the flavored eggplant make it worth it.
Some dishes can surprise diners, like the Cattle Stomach with Chili Sauce, which features a crispy texture with the right amount of chewiness. The Gross Blood Characteristics Mong has strong Sichuan seasoning, though the coagulated blood may taste a bit salty. The Pickled Pepper with Chicken Gizzard shows promise, but the gizzards have an unexpected sweetness that may not fit with the bold flavors typical of Sichuan stir-fries.
Service could improve, as customers may not be checked on frequently unless food is being delivered. The location can be tricky to find, as it is on the second floor of the Time Square building in one of the corners. Despite some minor flaws, the overall experience remains enjoyable, especially when paired with rice.
